Are roller tip rockers any good? I don't want to have to machine my 77 351w heads. Just need new rockers and rods.

I have the edelbrock performer 2182 cam and lifters.

Better than stock! Anytime you can reduce friction in a valve train do it.

The regular magnum roller tip rockers work very well and I'd almost tell you they are failure proof. They are very durable. I ran them on three different engines with no problems and they are also on my truck now.

i run the billet full roller rockers, they look real nice and i think they gave me some power and a better iddle, but i really like the polylock setup for adjusting them over the locknut adjusting with screw in studs, turns nice and smooth till you get it adjusted where you want it,then you just tighten down the little set screw, id run them for those, i also run the cheapest sb ford ones you can get though i think ;D

I'm running the crane roller rockers on my 351w. When I bought em the tech guy at summit said most of the lifters come from the same manufacturer anymore.

I ordered the Magnums. Since my stockers are now out of tolerance (don't ask how :-X ) and making noise I thought I'd upgrade.

got their pushrods also.

thanx all.

Have you tried one of those pushrod geometry checkers on it to make sure you have the correct length pushrods? Sometimes when the heads and or block get milled they get out of whack as far as the length needed. Just something to think about if you still have problems.
