Sweet - how about a pic or two? I've been dealing with my sub-par steering for some time and I'd like to utilize some brackets I had made. I've got lots of room for whatever- the ice cream air diffuser can be adjusted.

I have had several requests recently to have more of the brackets cut so that the wild horses kit can be used on a 351w. I will look into having more made if there is enough interest. I'm too busy at work to get it done before Christmas but after the first of the year I'll talk with my water jet guy and get a price together.

Keep us posted on pricing and when they might become available. Thanks a ton for at least offering to make a few more.

Guys,
I need to understand the issue here. I have had 3 trucks with hydroboost.

Because you guys all sound retarded to me and I know that can't be. Some of you, maybe, but not all of you.

1. ok, first of all, let's talk about height of the reservoir. The only reason I have seen to mount the reservoir higher is due to the height of the hydroboost unit. If the reservoir lid is lower than the HB, gravity feed causes the fluid to overfill, overflow the reservoir.

2. Let's talk volume. When you add a hydro assist cylinder you will increase the overall system volume. But the volume you need to fill the cylinder in the left turn position will come from the cylinder in the right turn position (Once you bleed the system of air).

3. Volume with hydroboost is increased, but minus the gravity drainback, the fluid is circulated through it and once the reservoir is full, doesn't require any more volume.

4. The reservoir is already designed for the power steering pump and gear box, so that is original volume. No change there.

5. The volume can be added so easily, in my opinion, you can make the reservoir wider, without making it taller. What the hell is that radiator hose extension setup for? Cheese and rice, that looks redneck rigged.

6. The space at the pump/reservoir is limited, I get that, so a larger pump housing isn't exactly possible, but between the pump and below the fill cap, you can locate a larger volume reservoir, even low fender mounted.

WHAT THE FRICK am I missing? I don't understand some part of the equation, obviously.

Please use the number of the item you are replying to. I want to make sure we are talking about the same issue. I don't want to talk about #3 if you are talking about #4.

For anyone still interested, I didn't forget about this. I have a call in to the water jet guy and he is looking up the pattern we made for the bracket. I hope he will be getting back to me in the next few days with pricing.

I think I have everyone who sent me a PM for a bracket covered. If not send me a message. As of today, I have two that are not spoken for.

Without reading through this complicated thread again, can you refresh on what custom bracket you're offering?

This bracket lets you use the WH 5.0 explorer Saginaw conversion bracket on a 5.8. I have one left.

**NOTE** What casadejohnson's offering is not the same bracket that was discussed in this thread.

The hijack is getting old. I know you have good intentions, and I don't mean to be rude, but maybe you should consider starting a new thread to sell your stuff...

I am all for an open discussion of alternatives, but it has moved beyond that.

Hey Eric, I went back and read this thread from beginning to end and I suppose a person could see my post and think that I was selling a bracket like the the one you made. If anyone made that assumption, that was not my intention. Honestly, if your bracket had been something that I could have purchased when I was mounting up my saginaw I would have happily purchased one. Here is the real kicker, I don't even want to sell brackets. I just duplicated what i had done as a courtesy to the people who asked me to make them a bracket and ended up with a few extras. For what its worth, I never made much of anything selling this bracket, that was not ever the intention. With that, I shall cease and desist any discussion of the matter in your thread.

Eric - How is your set up working? Have you thought about making more for others?

I used a WH bracket on my p pump and was honetly dissapointed. It is in my truck now (extremely modified version of it is anyway), but only until I can replace it with something better. I was hoping to have more of a bolt on option, not a stack spacers and washers as needed option. I also ran into an issue with the idler and found out that Ford made two different idler styles for the Explorer bracket. WH didn't seem to care that mine wasn't the one theirs was based on. I'm not bashing and WH has some great products and I have spent a lot of money there... just sharing my personal experience on this particular product.

Still hoping to find a good solution to using a P Pump, keeping it LOW, and a clean install.

Same experience here. I bought a new idler pulley to make it work.
