I got the driver's side window anti-rattle kit and new (used) wind wing vent window installed today. Works great - smooth and straight. This Bronco originally had black vent window frames and I "upgraded" (!) to chrome. (But hard to tell from the lighting in the attached photo.)

I got side tracked over the holidays but finally getting going on the Patina Bronco again. Getting the exterior stripped down in preparation for clear coating. I got the wiper cover and sun visors cleaned up and installed. This really cleans up the look of the interior. (The driver's side visor still has a bit of "patina"!) Also working on repainting the 17 inch wagon wheels which had been scratched up a bit over the past couple of years. I lost one of the centers of a rear center cap. So I picked up some printed centers with the Bronco horse imprinted on them. I'm thinking about painting the horse red for a bit more contrast.

We had the twin grandkid's 3rd birthday party last week. Mickey and Minnie Mouse themed. They seemed to enjoy the Bronco

Big congrats brother.. I keep telling my boys in TX, that's the fastest way to get me to move to TX

Here is the front end clear coated. Still wet so it looks glossy. It supposed to dry to a satin or eggshell finish. It may take a day or so completely dry because of the temperatures. Hopefully I can get the garage to 65 or 70 with my propane heater.

Couldn't resist a selfie!!

Forgot to update this build thread for a repair I made a couple weeks ago. As I was prepping for the clear coat I found a rust area I didn't know about. My prepping (scuffing up the patina paint) found a rust spot that the PO fixed with bondo alone. I had to cut out the area and weld in a patch. This was the only area on the rear quarter seams (both sides) that had any rust. Also added some faux patina!

As I may have posted before, this Bronco was very rust free but it had a couple unusual rust areas. An upper area of the tailgate was rusted and the bottom of the tailgate is rust free! Front floor boards had some pitting and the entire bed is near perfect! The front driver's fender had the most surface rust but turns out it's a replacement fender - not sure why it was replaced.

Great job, blends right in.

Its amazing to me that we can visually ignore so much on these old trucks. When I was having mine painted I ended up repairing quite a few spots on the body that didn't seem bad until he started taking the old paint down. It wasn't bad, just surprising as I wouldn't have caught it if I hadn't ended up painting the whole truck.
