• Be EXTREMELY cautious if someone offers to buy your Bronco for more than your asking price and sight unseen. ESPECIALLY if the buyer is overseas. It's probably a scam.

One of the most entertaining parts of my day is going to BAT to read the comments. Knowing just enough of the backstory on several things bronco related keeps me smiling. I think I said it in another thread recently, but I am glad some of you know so much about the history of broncos.....and who builds them. I am no expert, but I cringe while looking at some of these broncos/prices and what I know the end buyer is really getting.

Well, I guess SOMEONE likes him:

"I’ve seen this beautiful rig as it was built and it’s stunning. Bid with confidence, the Seller is a stickler for detail and a mechanical whiz as well as a great guy. Truck is worth every dollar."

I'll bet that's a paid endorsement?!

Probably one of his sons.

I checked the guy's background and he's bought a number of vehicles on there and has a fair number of bids and comments - doesn't seem to fit the demographic of what I imagine his sons are like, but who knows.

It’s not so glaringly obvious as being one of his usual restorations......which makes it even more terrifying.

Was going to quote that glowing endorsement, but y’all beat me to it😂. Would be interesting if someone under the radar local could check it out and give a report. At least the bedliner’s been upgraded to color matched.....

TMD Restorations....,Turds Made (to look) Decent??

I have been on this site for a few years now and this is the first time I ever heard anyone talk bad about anyone. Please enlighten me on the back story of Socks and Sandals

Here's some links for your enlightenment:

Here’s one of the articles on him from years ago:

https://whnt.com/news/taking-action...alleged-ebay-scams-tips-to-keep-you-safe/amp/

Here are more links on him:

https://www.broncozone.com/threads/buyer-beware.10942/

In the time that I've been on this board (looks like over 20 years now), there have been some bad apples in the Bronco world. Socks and Sandals takes the cake, followed closely behind by 'Saddleup'. Despite the growing size of the Bronco community, we try to keep everyone informed of those who may not have everyone's best interests in mind.

Caveat emptor.

Is there a way to inform BAT of this past history?

I sent them all those links in the message I posted above. I know of at least one other member here that contacted them with similar concerns. I'd say that we were both blown off.

We did our due diligence. I hope it works out ok for everyone.

Dang - sharp eyes, guys! Someone posted the tv station link in the auction just a bit ago - the seller had some excuse for it.
