Stock 76 Alternator Wiring

I searched the threads on here but haven't found a conclusive answer or wiring diagram. I am not sure what years things changed if they did. I have the stock alternator and wiring for my 76 and it would seem that the PO cutoff the wire with the black cap that pushes on to one of the posts on the alternator. The red and black capped connectors that are fastened with nuts on the alternator are still there. I drove this for years without issue but during my reassembly I want to put everything back the way it came. Where does this wire go? Thanks!

Great, thanks!! Looks like the wire that was cut is for the electric choke. I have a manual choke so that makes sense.
