The D44 I just pulled out seems to have strong clutches. should I replace them? not doing a lot of hard off road or rock climbing mostly mud. Does it harm them to sit for several years without use?

Wont harm them to sit several years without being used they soak up oil so no big deal. hard to say if you should replace them or not if you have used 4wd a lot and run big tires it might be a good idea to replace them now while you have it apart. If you dont use 4wd much and have smaller tires then I'd probably just reuse them.
