In the process of replacing the head gaskets on my OEM 302 and the heads are in dire shape (original...never rebuilt). I found remanufactured units from the local parts shops for around $170 each. I'm going to call a local shop tomorrow to ask about rebuilding the ones I have...what should I expect to pay?

Thanks.

I paid about $280 for heads to be rebuilt with hardened seats and new springs.

Plan on $150 per head up to $300 depending on problems like bad valves, springs etc. This is where buying new has to be weighed vs fixing old.

basically your going to pay whatever the rebuilt ones are going to cost you. Unless your just need a lot more work.
