Biggest issue is the pulley package on the front of the crank snout gets really long and you run out of real estate for a fan that you need to cool all that heat. Long time ago Explorer Express sold a roots kit that fit the Explorer accessory drive.
I have seen one, inner fender modification and a bracket to move the blower back it fits. But a single turbo is easier to package in my eyes and drivability is better. I dont have pictures but it was a cool setup not for the average guy in his garage, custom machine work all to run on the explorer belt
