Attempting to remove the tow hitch that is on my Bronco. 2 hours later I've broken 2 bumper bolts and have the bumper removed. Went to work on the back 2 bolts on the tow hitch and I cracked the 3/4 socket, something I can say I have never done before. I'm sure I need to heat them up, but they are close to the gas tank and I'd rather not. Any other suggestions? I wonder how I go about getting Craftsman to send me another socket.
Digger, you're a lucky man!Took mine out for some light snow wheeling.
Just curious, Scoop. Why didn't you drive it instead of trailering?I'm on the way to get a new exhaust system installed!
I have about a quarter mile of dirt road from my driveway to the highway. Right now it’s all mud!Just curious, Scoop. Why didn't you drive it instead of trailering?

Where did you get your body?Got the new body sitting on the chassis! Had to cut clearance holes in the brand new trans tunnel sheetmetal for the shifter tower of the ZF and the twin sticks on the transfer case, and trim a little of the front inside corner of the drivers side wheel tub to clear the 4x4x2 power steering box.

Finished up (mostly) my new custom wired fuse panel. Half is switched and the other half is always hot. There are negative terminals so if I need to add a ground, for something, I don't have to wire grounds all over the underside of dash (fiberglass tub) I took my Tuffy locking glovebox, that I really don't put much in anyway because I have a locking center console and a locking bin in the back, and I cut out the left side enough to slide fuse panel in (barely) and left enough slack that it can be pulled out the front to be worked on/add circuits. This is just mocked up. I am going to put velcro underneath the fuse panel to hold it from vibrating or hitting metal sides but allow it to be pulled out to work on it. I am also going to find a cheap spare fuse holder to attach to inside of lid and a diagram of the wiring. I am happy with the mocked-up results. Its rain and topless carwash proof and with the locking door its "semi-secure"
