Have you considered the gear banger shifter from wildhorses? I’m running it on my NP435 and it makes a massive difference. It pretty much turns it into a “short throw” shifter if you want to call it that. First gear (which I only use offroad) and reverse are still a bit long, but 2nd - 4th I can shift through without removing my elbow from the center console.I'm either going to run some tall knobs on the T-case shifters or end up lowering the console an inch or three. Really just test fitting a lot of things at this point to see what works and what has to be modified - and how much. I might even end up shortening the ZF shifter because it's so freaking long - 1st, 3rd, and 5th just barely clear the bottom of the dash, while 4th and Reverse almost put the shift knob into the cup holders.
1st one went to start it dead battery, put it on the trickle charger and decided to go start the other one. I already had it on a trickle charger. It fire up and I took it for a back 40 spin. I need to get busy with my axle upgrades on the 1st one.
