Fixed some spots on the frame of the Stroppe Long Beach Lifeguard - finished some unfinished factory welds, and other small blems.

Those look great and on my list for sure!
That does look good I did the same with my 2 inch bl. I did have the rear piece welded and body worked in because it was before paint. But I think they make a huge difference. As an added bonus the rear panel makes an ideal place to mount a backup camera👍🏻

Pretty proud of this classic body cart design. Ripped the plans off of this very sight of course.

I actually took my time building it. Which is unusual for me to do to something temporary. I even made it with over sized pneumatic tires for off road!

But I did and it turned out so great! Until I pushed it under the lift an came to the realization that the lift arms won’t clear the frame!

Just a bone head move. Well I’m going to bed, I’ll sort this out after work tomorrow 🤬

Finished my Hanson front bumper and installed my new 9.5XP Warn. I added a tube brush guard and had to redo a few of the welds on the bumper. Also finished my stereo install. The head unit is an Amazon China but it lets me use onX with a screen I can actually see. I added a Taramps amp under the dash. It’s 1500 watt 3 channel and it’s about the size of a Walkman. The front speakers are Kicker 4in and the rears are Pyle 4in. The pods the front ones are in are some I found on Amazon. Made in USA supposedly, Select Increments brand. Pretty cool little speaker pods. Still have to figure out something for bass. I have 60% of the metal to build a new body, as soon as I collect a few more pieces I’ll get started on welding it all together.

@76YETI how much prep work did you have to do to these before paint? filler, sanding, etc
I just cleaned them with duplicolor wax/grease remover and shot them with WHT gloss black. Very little prep. I did a little extra cutting to make the rear piece fit around my 25 gal tank and filed the edges...but the metal was pristine.

Can you make the body posts taller?

What tire size you running?
Can you make the body posts taller?
Yes I could have. But I was out of 4x4s and was definitely over the situation. I just lowered it down onto jack stands and used the arms of the lift on the rockers to send it back up. I still had to remove a 4x4 to get it on. Shimming the frame with wood blocks.

I couldn’t get the pads on the rockers because the lifts posts are not far enough apart. So I put wood blocks on the arms. I did think about doing it this way first. But the rockers aren’t exactly solid.

I received some pictures from the body shop today. A few more pieces finished. The body should be in the paint booth today!

Finally a little time for MY Bronco! Tire rack has been off since November, and engine is transplanted from another member and friend. Was Efi and also had a bad cam. I had gotten as far as changing cam and getting it moving. Ended up messing with carb and changing acc pump cam out and it’s finally working to a level I’m happy with. So…naturally, a drive and tacos were in order.

Good luck! I'd do mine over if I could. Are you repairing or replacing? I replaced with AAW harness. I wish I had followed Bronkenn's advice re: laying out the new alongside the old.

That is solid advice! It looks like big T was gonna fix his original? Thats what I do. I’ve also bought Dennis carpenter reproduction factory harnesses for a customer and they were nice! As long as wires aren’t crispy or insulation is not cracking, I like to repair the original wiring.
