Wonder if I need a new sending unit ;D

Dropped my tank that has sat for a few years, and emptied out the old gas. Looks like a thick sludge is stuck to the bottom of the tank (like alligator skin). I'm guessing that will wash out with a pressure washer.

And I think I need a new sending unit! HA! I wonder if this is why the gas gauge never worked...hmmm LOL

what year model is that.

I couldn't tell you. A PO installed the 23 gal tank. I assume they replaced the sending unit when they installed it, but that was 12+ years ago, and she hasn't been run that much in that time. Maybe 1,000 total miles? So a lot of time for fuel to sit and the sending unit to get rusty.

Pulled both tanks and senders when cleaning out the fuel system. Main gauge worked, aux not so much, lol.
