Using the xtera box on my 66. I ordered some fittings to convert to an-6. I got the 16x1.5 and 18x1.5 Inverted. The 16-1.5 goes in not to snug till I hit bottom. was wondering if maybe I have the wrong fitting. i have herd I think on one of somebody’s posts that it was a 3/8” inverted. The box came from 2001 xterra. Thanks guys

What year Xterra box? There were 2 different ones used.
The early one was made in Japan by Toyo-something. The later one was made by Delphi.

The Delphi one uses inverted flare fittings
The Toyo one uses banjo fittings.

I want to say the change happened halfway through the 2001 model year.

It works on mine. Just need to work out the correct fittings. I had to oblong one of my frame mounting holes and I put a plate on inside of frame just to beef it up.

Do you change pitman arms or does xterra work?

Some guys ream out the Nissan pit arm some get the center sector out of a jeep grand Cherokee and stock bronco pit arm bolts right on. I did the jeep shaft swap. It’s pretty easy. There are a couple of good threads out here to walk you through it.

Looks like a good job . What about steering hook up.
I used the Borgeson telescoping shaft from one of the vendors. I think it’s a 31 spline double d style. Cut my shaft ground it down and it fit perfectly.

Will not work. Only the 1st get Xterra has a steering box that can be swapped. '00-'04
The 2nd gen, '05-'15, is a rack and pinion.
