Yes its time for me to buy the guts for both front and rear axles. I have bought a lot of this stuff throughout my addiction. But I can honestly say I don't have a favorite go to for this. I have had decent luck at the bronco vendors because they generally in tune with what I am looking for. I use Summit a lot for motor and trans parts plus bearings and seals when I have the numbers. Transfer case stuff I use a bronco vender. Drive shafts my favorite is Carolina driveline.. But differential parts I must say I dont have a favorite. Can you all send me in a good direction for this? I would like to have a favorite differential / parts vender.
Thanks

I don't have a favorite vendor to recommend (I try to patronize the Bronco vendors for such things) but wanted to let you know that if you're considering an ARB for your front axle, yours truly has one for sale in the classifieds for a lot less than vendor prices at the moment....

By no means do I do a lot, but I generally find myself looking at the Yukon site for stuff.

I've used Randy's R&P and Drivetrain Specialists (DTS) a lot over the years. Some time back, Complete Offroad was my go-to when we were still running the offroad racing team, but that was back when Mike Kirkus still owned it (Mike now owning Extreme Custom Fab, of course...you snagged one of his roll bar hoop kits when you cleaned my place out last year).

Like everything else, it depends on what is important to you.

I will only buy genuine Spicer gears for the Dana axles. But set up time and noise are important to me. (not a fan of the SVL products.)

I am also the king of the budget build. So I harvest good used parts to save cost. If cost is important to you, (and obviously it is NOT, based on your sig line...) then buying used is the way to go.

If convenience is important, then Summit / Jegs will work.
For application support, Randy's R&P is good.
If you make a lot of mistakes, pick someone that has a liberal return policy.
For the most complete hardware solution, you cannot beat the MOPAR parts counter at the dealership.
If you have lots of time to waste, there are good deals on Ebay.
If you do all of the work to look up bearing and seal part numbers, then Amazon is your friend.
No one in their right mind buys individual components for axle parts. Kits are the way to go. Some kits are great, some kits suck.
If you are missing parts, No one has the right shims, baffles, and slingers except the OEM.

How many are you going to build? Are you going to do the work yourself, or do you have a builder? So many questions...

Yes doing all the work myself. The current build is 60/40 street build. 347,ax15,HP 44 d20 and a 9'' I need to get the guts in the diffs and make it a roller so I can mount the body and start on panel replacement.
I like summit, dont like bay. Never had luck with Randys, hate their web site perhaps I should call them.

Thanks for the replies everyone

Yes Bill I liked working with Mike. Good guy. I spotted the hoop, it will be used. also out of the 16 transfer cases I got I was able to build a really nice one.

East Coast Gear Supply is my go to for one stop shopping. Their website is ehh ok, So I call It is always worth the call, they have a lot of products not on the website, short time deals, ect. They are always helpful with fix it parts and for clutch limited slips I have had really good luck with their private label rebuilt units. Only 1 time have they made a shipping mistake; they bent over backwards to fix it.

Like others I'm a deal finder too but if its time vs getting it done, I just pick up the phone and call ECGS. I second James on the Spicer gear sets, have a bargain D60 set the rear of my J truck and it is noisy, set up easy but is noisy, so sometimes bargains have a price.

Just tried to use the ECGS web site. Had a good shopping kart going. Tried to put a set up kit into the kart and it would not go. Gave them a call and got a recording. "No one to answer the phone" website says they are open on Fridays and it was not lunch time. I dumped my Kart and went to Randys world wide whatever. Compared to ECGS their prices are much higher. Must be the world wide part that makes it spendy

I stick with wild horses whenever possible. Reason is simple, they keep track of their orders and support me well when I call in. One time I couldn't find a part and I called in, they had detailed records and even told me what box it was shipped in.
This is not to detract from some of the other excellent vendors, I've just always had great luck with wild horses.

I have used West Coast Differential (Sacramento area) for a number of years... Rusty Ext. 111
Generally everything is in stock, delivery to me is in one day, well packaged. Haven't had to send anything back...

Good to hear Kirkus is still in business somewhere!

Yep, I'd trust what mr. Steve has used before
