I have the ignition plus their coil in my '66 170 six , it works fine. Did have to adjust the timing per their instructions.

All My question is for paint prep whether to completely strip to metal or just sand smooth the existing paint ? The Bronco is a daily driver so it doesn’t have to be Pebble Beach quality. I’m fixing a few dents all over and it likely has one repaint by PO, but it’s not the factory color so...

Also, the header pipe was 1.75” diameter on early 170, 2.00” on 200 and I think later 170’s. Tony

Looking for a driver’s side rear door post for my ‘66 Bronco. As long as the center where the door strike is has good metal that’s good- I want to graft good metal in that area from another post rather than replace the entire post. Thanks Tony

Just received a new set of C bushings for stock height (from WH #1306) and I noticed all 4 are identical, no markings. All instructions I have seen so mention the correct orientation of the bushings as indicated on the inside markings. Are all supposed to be the same for stock height? Also...

Thanks, WH rep said that they need to be plugged if you have a manual- don’t know why they don’t provide them since 6 cylinder Bronco’s with an automatic are rare if any.

Just received a new radiator from WH for my 170 six. Nice unit but there’s 2 holes for automatic transmission lines on the bottom that I need to plug (not included). WH couldn’t tell me the bolt and thread size, is it 1/8 NPT ? Thanks Tony

Thanks Spaggy, it looks like the approximate location on the WH instructions. The exact placement I’m determining is where the stabilizer expands and returns so the wheels can be fully turned left or right.

I have a steering stabilizer bracket from WH that I’m trying to mount. The instructions say that on the cross member there’s normally two holes located close to the passenger side. The only hole in the cross member near there on my 66 is on the part that spanks up, no holes on the horizontal...

Thanks for the advice on self -tapping because it seems like that's what it had on it already. It does go on tight but it had an aluminum crush washer which maybe has to be changed or perhaps I'll try and find a nylon washer which I see goes with many self-tapping plugs.
