please confirm...i did a search for the matching numbers thread. what i found in the thread is that the numbers on engine do not match the vin of the bronco from the factory. if this is true then i guess i will be hunting down a engine. i need a new one.

a while back i put on a 85 amp 1 wire. due to configuration, the alt makes contact with belt but only touches about 20% of the pulley. it worked fine for 6 mos. the ac is on the same belt and one day i turned it on while driving on highway. heard the belt screeching but all went right to work...
