    Need Wiper Vacuum Solution

My '66 vacuum wipers struggle for vacuum. To begin, I took a part and cleaned up the vacuum wipers. I did not rebuild with a new kit. Next, I have the stock 66 fuel pump. Question: I do not know how the fuel pump vacuum works: do both tubes on top - ports "suck in" ?

Hood clearance for 2100 and V.I. adaptor on Inline 6 200

Does it clear the hood? Does anyone run an inline six 200 (late model, '83) with a 2100 carb with the Vintage Inline 2V:1V adapter? No body lift. Also, I'd like to use a snorkel air cleaner if possible. Right now on my '66 I have the 1100 with the clamp on little air filter - no wingnut (from...

    1966 Shop Manual

I am rebuilding a 200ci. I am thinking about buying a shop manual. Ford offered the Preliminary Manual and then online I see a complete Manual for Broncos, Falcons, etc. I only need the Bronco info. Question: is the Preliminary Bronco Manual's info exactly the same as the full manual? Or does...

    3-speed toploader to 4-speed toploader

I have an 1983 EIBE 200ci engine (Fairmont) I am thinking of swapping for my 170ci. The '83 has the lower starter. And although I don't have the bell housing, it looks like it takes the Big Bell, the same as used for the 289, 302, 351 V8s. Correct? Question: What I really want to know is this...

MO Searching for a 200 short block

I am looking for a good 200ci to rebuild. I do not need a cylinder head. I just bought an E1BE head that want to match to a 200ci. Also, I have the E0BE block that came with the head. But I don't want it because it has the 80s lower starter. If you want to swap, I'm good with that. The block...

    Separating Cylinder Head help

Well, I bought a late 200: E1BE 6015 BB. I believe I will just use the head and not attempt to tackle changing out the bell, clutch, flywheel, starter - bc it has the lower starter. I will have the head rebuilt. So... The last time I removed a cylinder head was 40 yrs ago! Do I have to remove...

Lower Starter position on '80 up 200s

Does the lower starter position on '80 and up 200s fit in a '66 EB? Page 39 of The Ford Falcon Handbook states the '80s have the lower starter position. So - will it fit? I have found an '83 Fairmont engine. I am serious about buying it, and having it rebuilt. But is the starter position a deal...

Engine Codes for 200 and 250

The Ford Falcon Six Handbook shows the same engine codes for 200 and 250. A 1975 200ci is marked D5DE-AA. A 1975 250ci is marked D5DE-AA - both according to the Handbook. Shouldn't the 250s be D5BE? Is this a typo? I ask because someone is selling a 250ci but a photo shows "D5DE." Is it really...

SOLD E-brake pedal for non-'66 EBs

Selling the brake on the left. Bought this new from Tom's 4/19 for $149. I finally bolted it to my '66 and it didn't fit correctly. Wrong one. I bought the right one (used) from Nick at Northeast. So I will pass this one along. I'll pay the shipping, assuming it's less than $30 or so.

    Replace 3 Speed Toploader in a 1966 170ci - can I change to 4 speed?

I have an HEF DA 3 spd in my Aug 65 build. The 2nd gear needs some effort and grinds a bit. Plus, I sure would like to find another gear near the top. In other words, driving floored at 55-60mph is a drag. Questions: 1. If I just stick with the HEF DA 3 spd, and I want to buy one, do I have...

Gauges do not use the full range

Question: I saw Dennis Carpenter has a solid state gauge cluster regulator: are there different cluster regulators for different years of EBs? Problem: My fuel, oil, and water temp just don't move/read/register like they should. For instance, fill up the gas tank and the gauge only reads...
