    Shout out to Tom’s Off-road

I want to say I have had good service with Toms. I have returned a few parts I have doubled up on but I just returned these bumpers I had had for over a year and they took them back with no hesitation. I put them on and hated them for the look I was going for, I liked the bumpers but wrong...

    It’s getting closer!

I have moved on the the fun part of this build, the wiring and plumbing. I do have to still block and paint the hood but I am sick of sanding right now. I installed all new glass, vent windows etc, can’t believe these glass shops in town, won’t do windshield’s in these older vehicles. Now to...

Starting to go back together after 10 long months of weekends

After all the metal work, body work and block sanding now the fun part assembly time. Had a lot of extra work to do along the way from straightening the frame to watching a 15 part series and rebuilding the 4R70W. Found a roller 302 from a fox body, rebuilt it and installed an explorer...

    Finally making some progress!

Now things are moving along that motivate me. After 9 months of bodywork, rust repair, fab I can finally get some painting done. Moved it to my buddys shop so I can block and primer it there, everything else is ready for paint.

    Question on radius arm brackets

I picked up my frame from shop and want to assemble and paint. I have wild horse stock style radius arm brackets as mine had been torched off, I have 57 and 7/8”on one side and 58” on other. Is this acceptable as measured from front frame rail.

    66-67 Door on 69 question

So I ordered what I thought were 68 up doors from DC, and still believe I did. I received 66 doors and 68 up doors are out of stock pretty well everywhere. So now I have a decision, convert all internals and striker post or cut centers out of my 69 doors and weld them in to the 66 doors and move...

    Project 150 is underway

I So I rolled my wife's bronco into the garage at the end of December to start on it. I told myself I am not taking the body off the frame because I did not want to do a rotisserie restoration. Well, then I couldn't get the body mounts off, so I thought, let me just lift the body off, replace...

    My current Bronco Re-assembly chore

I was tasked with putting this back together, I just received boxes of parts and nothing was bagged or tagged so it has been a chore. I did manage to get doors on and aligned, if anyone buys the repop side moldings throw the clips in the trash right away and go buy good ones. I installed the...

    Repop fender question

Curious if anyone bought these fenders and just bolted them on. They are from Toms Bronco’s, not DC, and are from Taiwan. I had to drill out spot welds on door bracket and move it in, the bracket along the top seems like it’s to high and needs to be lowered, and they sit off the core support...

    DC quarter panel modification

I was forced to do a slight modification on the new Dennis Carpenter quarter panel I just bought. I am no fan of the gas caps and couldn’t go backwards so improvised. Now I will take my time welding it up so I don’t risk warping.

    Repop hinge pillar problems

Don’t know if anyone else has run into this but I installed repop hinge pillars and it held the fenders out from the doors. They were out to the point that I had to fix them. The doors were even with rockers so I drilled out the fender bracket spot welds, trimmed the fenders and rewelded...

    Dana 44 Question

The Bronco I just bought has a 79 Dana 44 in it and is too wide, I hate the look. I was told by a guy at Tom's Bronco that you shorten one side but that doesn't make sense. Is it 1.5" from each axle to narrow to stock width.

    Got the 69 home today

It actually runs and we drove it onto the car trailer. I Need to finish the one I’m working on for a customer and build this one for the wife. The gas caps are definitely getting deleted and fuel doors put in.

Ford should have dipped the tub in this!

Carrying on with this rustoration and can’t believe how well the seam sealer worked on the top cowl. They should have used it in many more spots.

Bought my wife a Valentines Day present

After having a couple in the shop for rust repair my wife expressed her thoughts on wanting one. I bought her one for the 14th and didn't have to break the bank. Very little rust, has a 351 Windsor in it, the jury is out on wether its going to be changed to an automatic. It definitely needs...

I have read that guys delete the front fuel tank and just run the rear one. Is this a thing and should I use this time to weld up the front gas door.
