    I'd stick with the explorer front dress and swap the intake and everything else you need over from your current motor. Biggest thing like said before will be to use the correct gear on your distributor.

    What pump? Have pics of the setup? If it's doing it while turning and braking then it may be a weaker pump or not enough return flow.
