Another what is this Bronco worth?

Here in upstate NY....we consider that rust free. lol. If I was looking for a project....I'd be ok to give up to 1500 bucks.

its time to get back to work...4bt time

as far as the starter, here is where I am at. i called my buddy at napa and had him bring me up a starter for a 96 f350 7.3. i compared it to the starter out of the bread truck. i looks like it will work perfect if I do away with the starter spacer that was on the bread truck. but then that...

its time to get back to work...4bt time

thanks PaPitt. I've read alot of your threads and replies about your 4bt bronco. I rolled my bronco a few years ago just screwing around like an ass. so it has sat for the past few years with all of the damaged stuff stripped off of it including the entire front clip. when I originally built the...

    good to be back

hey guys, been a tough year for me! I spent 4 years building my bronco. I flopped it over in the road (all the way over) last memorial day weekend. Been battling this on and off thing with my ex all year. finally got my priorities straight and got rid of her. so now im back. time to put her...

FORD...What does it mean to you?

I am a ford diesel engine master tech. I see the problems more than anyone else. I see these trucks so often that I have wondered why people keep buying them. I asked a few of my customers why they stick with ford trucks. These are some of the people that work the trucks harder than anyone...

Black/yellow wire after 3G install **is a fuseable link needed

I just finished mine up the other night. had about 45 bucks invested in the whole swap using a junkyard alternator and whatever amount of harness I could take with it. the 3g bolted right into my bracket with minor trimming on the bracket. I found a lot of conflicting data on the wiring. I am...

Torquing rockers to spec, now its causing push rods to bend

In this case, do just like baddad457 said and you should be fine. you have adjustable rockers.

Torquing rockers to spec, now its causing push rods to bend

Ok. lets simplify this. you either have adjustable rockers or non adjustable rockers. If you have non adjustable rockers, the nuts are not lock nuts, there is a shoulder on the mounting stud, and you just need to tourque them to 20 ft lbs where ever the engine is when you shut it off. no...

    3G install in progress w/pics

This is how far i've gotten so far. any input would be appreciated. mounted the alternator with minor trimming to the bracket. removed the old alternator, regulator and harness as an assembly by unbolting the alternator and regulator, unplugging the 3 wire connector and removing one fusible...

BCB Radius Arms and C Bushings

One of the best upgrades I have made. I run 7* bushings with a 5.5 inch lift. I set caster as far back as I could before driveline angle was too nasty. I have about 5* of caster and truck drives great.

Torquing rockers to spec, now its causing push rods to bend

pretty sure if they are all stock parts and non adjustable you just run down the line and tourque the rocker nuts. doesn't matter where the piston is or the crank or the cam. just tourque them to spec slowly.

    Dana 20 detent springs

No, I am not sure of this. I imagine there might be a spec that you could check with a feeler guage. I did pay close attention to this however. It has very little play and about the same as the other t-case. I cannot move the sliding gear enough to even come close to disengaging within this...

    Dana 20 detent springs

thanks viperwolf. I was thinking about shimming it just to get back on the road for now and then building the other case I have and modifying the shift rails and stuff and have it ready to swap in when I have time.

    Dana 20 detent springs

mine has 0 endplay and most likely still has preload. can't imagine having endplay in a setup like that being ok. thanks for the input.

    Dana 20 detent springs

So this could get long winded as that is how I tend to be. bottom line is after I finished my 4 year frame off last fall I had problems with d20 popping out of rear drive high range. finally got it back into the shop to make some adjustments and sort out some issues that never got attention. The...
