Sniper - Cold Temp / Poor Running - Tuning Help in MN

Thought maybe it was the gas since it was nearly on empty and had been in the tank all winter during storage, made it to the gas station, after fill up was running worse, never got a chance to get it up to temp due to the cold air temperature and large aluminum radiator..

Sniper - Cold Temp / Poor Running - Tuning Help in MN

So my bronco ran good last summer after much messing around with my holley sniper (put about 2,000 miles on it). I went to start it yesterday 42 degrees outside and it started right up but ran like S#*t.. Is there something I'm missing or someone local to the Minneapolis area that could put eyes...

    Lubr Engine Noise

Thanks, Jebus & Blubuckaroo, I would have expected that the builder matched the heads to the cam but who knows, I'm unable to verify that which I why I initially suspected valve float as the cause of the broken rocker stud due to how poorly the Bronco ran after the local Minneapolis repair shop...

    Lubr Engine Noise

Yes I know what a LUBER is, I painstakingly restored my 1973 over a period of 12 months. For the one in question, I've asked the builder for specs but they don't have them, I was trying to avoid digging too deep into it but it sounds like a new cam with matched heads and a port and polish are in...

    Lubr Engine Noise

I also rotated the engine by hand through all cylinders.. didn’t check for coil bind though, is that when the coils of the springs hit each other due to being worn?

    Lubr Engine Noise

Thanks guys, I had that side off as well and didn’t see or feel anything that stood out. These heads have about 5k miles on them.

    Lubr Engine Noise

Alright, here's one for you ford engine guru's.. Early bronco with a 302 (my buddies) had engine problems and was not running, I removed the valve covers and found one broken rocker stud and one bent pushrod both on the same cylinder (#1) but not the same valve. I was assuming valve float...

    Drive shaft legnthening

Hello! Just took my bronco for the first drive after complete rebuild w/2.5" suspension lift. Had some mad vibration under acceleration, because i'm an amateur I thought I could get by without lengthening the driveshaft but after looking more closely, I think its necessary. See picture Is it as...

    OEM Air Intake

I'm wrapping up my build and i've reinstalled my OEM intake. What was the best option for the air intake 8" connection between the hard plastic cold air intake and the metal air cleaner snorkel. I see TBP sells a flexible material and it looks like there is also an accordion hard plastic option...

    Tidy Engines

Great stuff, englewoodcowboy the red one with the stock air cleaner is the direction I'm heading. I also like the suggestions for hidden wiring. Curious where you sourced the material for the jack bag?
