76 Duraspark II with a gm 4pin module help.

Last thing, I hope. Do any of you gents know what should be the actual Ohm resistence for a coil for a GM 4pin module? I know the module should get a full 12volts. Really, 14 plus while it's running, but I'm thinking the high output Edelbrock Maxfire Coil (The square one not the canister type)...

76 Duraspark II with a gm 4pin module help.

The igntion module came with silicon grease ie: clear silicon. I ordered Arctic Silver 5 thermal transfer grease. This seems to be the best stuff out there. I hope it works, The Dude

76 Duraspark II with a gm 4pin module help.

Paul, Here is what I am using.... 1. Silicon Grease that came with the module. (Don't judge. I didn't know it was the stuff NOT to use.) Is there a thermal paste you'd recommend? 2. The heat sink on Amazon https://www.amazon.com/dp/B0012P2EQU/?tag=cbama-20 3. I have it on the driver's side...

76 Duraspark II with a gm 4pin module help.

Gents, I hope you guys can help me out. I'm running my stock Duraspark II distributor on my 76 bronco with a 302. About a year ago I converted to a GM 4 pin ignition module. The ignition module is sitting on a heat sink with silicon grease. Well, I've burned through a few modules. The last...

Help with odd fuel pressure/fuel in filter issue.

Thanks, sadly, the same thing happens when I run it from a can of fuel. Odd. I'm going to bypass the under seat lever and see what happens now that I've switched mechanical fuel pumps. This is driving me crazy.

Help with odd fuel pressure/fuel in filter issue.

I'm running a 302 with shorty headers and both tanks. When I first start the truck, I'm running 5.5psi fuel pressure with a half-full fuel filter. I like the plastic fuel filters that I can see the gas. I'm weird like that. The fuel filter is just below the distributor and is not above the...

Drop pitman arm. Is it needed?

It just seems like I keep throwing money at the problem to see what will actually fix the issue. It gets rather frustrating.

Drop pitman arm. Is it needed?

Alright, I am running a drop pitman arm on a supposedly 2.5" lift, it's more like a 3" lift. The passenger side axle to frame measures 10". Now, I am trying to fix a bump steer issue. I have a new Y to T conversion, and I have now ordered an adjustable trac bar AND 7 degree C bushings. I ordered...

Help w/ bump steer and alignment (Data Sheet attached)

Sorry, it's a 76 Ford Bronco; 31x10.5x15 with a 3" lift. In reality, a 2/5" lift, but the passenger front axle to frame measures 10". I ordered 4 degree bushings from Wild Horses. I was told that was the correct angle. I'm thinking maybe not. Oh, I have my tires at 28psi, but it's a cheapy...

Help w/ bump steer and alignment (Data Sheet attached)

Guys, I just had the C bushings, draglink, and tie rods all swapped out with new bushings. The Trac bar looked good, but I went ahead and ordered an adjustable one to be 100% sure everything is new. I have some bump steer and it's just not fun to drive. Here are my numbers...... In a nutshell...

'76 Engine not starting. Just get the WAA WAA sound..

Thank you so much for the help. Sorry I didn't include more details. My ignition module and distributor are stock on my '76 302. The coil is an Accel Super stack 12v coil with a 1.4 resistance. When I measured across the + to - side of the coil with the key in the on position, it read 1.35v. I...

'76 Engine not starting. Just get the WAA WAA sound..

Yes, everything is stock except the coil. I have the Ford Duraspark and original Ignition module. I have gas in the fuel filter, and the motor is cranking over hence the "WAAA WAAA" sound. I thought I'd add the sound effects because I was told the sound helps a ton to diagnose the problem. I do...

'76 Engine not starting. Just get the WAA WAA sound..

Ok. I rebuilt the engine and we had the engine running prior to taking it in for body and paint. We hooked everything up with just the ignition switch wired up. I did this for the mechanic and paint guys to be able to move it around the shop. However, it took the paint guy 4 extra months to...

'76 Drag Link Help Y style to T style....

Well, I ordered a Y style to T style drag link because my current set up has shot bushings. I was told this was the best one to purchase. My current set up is a '76 bronco with a 1" body lift. Everything else is pretty much stock. My question, is there a good video on swapping out a drag link...

Another dumb question on an inner and outer bearing....help plz

Dirt, This bronco has really been a struggle. If I had known the drama I probably would have passed. So, the passenger side of the front hub has a Jeep dana 44 washer between the locking rings. The driver side is still original. I'm definitely going to pay the $12 a year to post pictures...

Another dumb question on an inner and outer bearing....help plz

Ok, when I pulled the inner and outer bearing from my '76 with a dana 44 and front discs, the bearings didn't have cups (race). Was this normal? On the schematics I've found online, the picture has cups (race). I have an online copy of Chilton's, but there isn't any pictures. Do I use the cups...
