If you were buying twin shocks today which ones would you buy ?

Thank you all ... yes, I can get the Bilsteins here in Germany at about 50% more compared to Summit Racing ... still an option as I save on freight and duties ... or I take the Duffs ... two for the price of one Bilstein ... my Bronco is only used on the street and I might be towing a small...

Crush ... they are totally trash with paper thin walls and holes everywhere. Someone just painted them white to make them look good.

If you were buying twin shocks today which ones would you buy ?

I just removed the totally dead twin shocks from the rear of our 69 Bronco, soon do the same on the front and would want to go with the same set up again if not considered to be totally stupid. Which ones would you buy? Since they will have to fly with me back to Germany I cannot have any gas...

Exchange shot fender well headers with new s/s shorties ..

My old school fender well headers are totally shot and I plan on buying a set of Scott Drake's stainless steel shorties (P/N C6TZ-9430-SS-SH). With $300 for the pair they are really cheap compared to many others. I do not care for long tube headers, but also don't want to go back to cast iron...

Anyone seen such a twin shock set-up ?

Thank you all for your replies. I am not going to change this for now. Just wanted to hear what I have and now I need to drive it for a while to get a feel for it. Right now it is on jack stands awaiting a new exhaust system. Need help here as well and will write a new thread for that. Kai...

Need to pull the engine ...

My 302 is leaking so badly out of the rear seal that I need to fix this asap. I want to also pull the tranny (3-speed manual). Can both be pulled together after removing the transfercase? Where can I find instructions? Got my car with three Chilton manuals. Two from 1974 and one from 1978...

Anyone seen such a twin shock set-up ?

Here are two photos of my front and rear shock set-up. Anyone seen this before? It did not come from the factory like that, but also does not look what like what I see in catalogs. I am new to the Bronco. So please don't beat me up for silly questions. :-) Kai Hanau/Germany

New Bronco owner in Germany !!!

Thanx for the warm welcome. Just paid my dues. Will upload photos later today. Wonder if someone knows this Bronco. It must have been restored in the US. Nice exterior, nice interior, but I have my questions about the mechanics. Guess there is plenty of work to do. ;D Kai

New Bronco owner in Germany !!!

Hi there, ... we finally got our own Bronco here in Germany. We have a couple of other cool Ford rides (54 F100 in race trim, 57 Wagon all original (based in the USA), 67 Mustang Convertible with a 5.0) and had many others before. Bought the Bronco two days ago, already got stranded on a busy...
