I put these on mine. They work great for letting heat out on the trail.

Maybe we could get Poison Spider Customs to make something similar to this- pricing is decent too...

KyleQ I guess I should have mentioned Poison Spyder is where I work, when I said this:

Sorry James, whenever my boss asks me about the economic viability of producing Bronco-specific parts, I wave him down LOL...been there done that!

I was only partially joking of course. But we'd get crucified by the owners of the other Jeep models that we don't yet make them for (CJ-5, XJ's, etc) if we started making them for Broncos first LOL...

A few years back, when I was at WCB, we put some "Run Cool" louvers on a customer's Bronco, and they looked pretty cool. They are universal (not Bronco-specific) but they seemed to fit pretty well with the EB hood. I looked on WCB's website in the build photos from that rig and didn't see any that show it very well. But here's the link to Run Cool--they might be worth looking at for you or anyone else who wants to easily add louvers.

Next time you run across a first-generation Chevy Corvair, take a peek at how they did the hood at the factory.
The entire center of the hood is louvered, but in two layers. Water gets in no matter what, but when it does it's just channeled down and back to drain holes (scuppers?) along the trailing edge and out it goes.
Back then, very little was weather-resistant (much less proof!) like it is today. So water control was more important than perhaps even on our trucks.
Sure, a double-layered panel would increase the price drastically I'm sure. And in the case of the Corvair, it was mostly for cooling and combustion air intake, rather than exit, but at least it's a concept that's valid from a performance standpoint.
Would probably strengthen the whole hood too!

Besides, we should be doing whatever we can to make our Broncos moisture proof anyway.

Well crap - that is lame. There are HUNDREADS of threads on here with people asking how to keep their Bronco's cooler and stop overheating and that one product alone would solve quite a few of those issues.

Could you just take a look at one of those sitting on top of an EB hood where we might be able to cut down a Heep version to fit on the middle taller portion of our hoods?

If we can adapt a Jeep part and it costs ~$130 that isn't that bad of a deal...

Motoman, are you trying to tell me there is a Bronco out there that can be fueled without doing some kind of contortion move with the nozzle? I bet you're really good with photoshop!

Any idea on cost of having the hood like that?

Hyline Offroad makes the louvers I have on my XJ and they really helped out. They send a real nice 20ga. template with them that I haven't quite found a use for yet but will someday. Shouldnt be a big deal for someone to adapt if they arent afraid of cutting. The Hylines don't keep the water out but they definitely help cool the engine (necessary for an XJ). A nice thing about the XJ lovers is the entire rear quarter of the panel has the openings facing front which helps move the air in the bay.
On mine I cut the hood on the pass side and opened up the louvers then added a tj vent cover to force feed the trans cooler mounted underneath. The cooler has a puller fan when I am going slow.
Dont kick me off for posting this:

Another option people seem to like are the Grand Prix hood louvers, but they are smallish. They do keep the water out.
