Took the bronco on a 100 mile round trip camping adventure. Furthest I have ever driven her and she did great ! Even did great on the light trails out on the national grasslands . My buddy Ben in the blue jeep even caught a few bass. Was so happy to take this trip and nothing went wrong and bronco ran great ! Been a 2 year process to get it here and it was totally worth it !

Picked up a set of ceramic coated headers for $ 250 and while I was there he had a stainless set ,got them for $50,they already have a new home. And he gave me 2 sticks of 6061 solid aluminum 1"and1.75" solid and a nice stand for free. I'm one step closer to getting rid of those glass packs.

Installed the Besttop soft top I picked up from another member. I really like the way looks. Now I can use the Bronco a little longer before it gets put away for the winter. By the way, when bolting on the side rails, be careful not to drop your wrench in the pocket behind the door jamb, not fun to get out.

Buttoned up the thermostat housing, removed the heater hose barb off the water pump, tapped it and plugged it.

Stripped down my passenger door and started taping it off.

I changed my brake pads on the front discs. My 74 had a conversion done, who knows how long ago, and I had no idea what the donor vehicle was for the calipers. It took a while at the auto parts store looking through a book to find the right pads. The rotors were in good shape but eventually I'll be replacing those as well. Not bad for my first time messing with brakes!

I welded a new tab on to the fairlead of my son's Koenig winch bumper so we could install the "new" roller that Rich ( copperranger ) gave us to replace the boogered one. We sandblasted and painted the bumper too.
