Beautiful. What Color/color code is this?
Here you go....
Ford Brittany Blue Metallic over Black Primer
1967-68 color on Mustang and Fairlane
Q-Code
PPG - 12843

Thanks for the input....I agree that I like it without the frame...oh well sometimes you swing and miss!

Thanks! I'm doing the same paint, but yours is beautiful.

I’ve been driving the truck a lot, including a trip to the cabin in Maine-put about 500 miles on it and spent 4 hours in 95* weather and everything went excellent and mostly leak free...Which is the first time I can say that in 12 years.
Bumpers and cage are powdercoated and installed. My wife has a new appreciation for tackeling stressful projects like helping to install the cage in a newly painted truck. Wasn’t as easy as pulling it out but it went in with no damage so a big thanks to her and my brother! I love the color!....Full credit for color choice goes to my daughter Bella!
A huge thanks to Brian aka Migs here on CB. The bumpers came out excellent with a lot of attention to detail. He made brackets that allow adjustment to get the spacing perfect. Thanks Migs!!
As much as I hate to put it on, soft top goes on tomorrow.
Few more things to do...exhaust, shocks and I’m gonna send the steering box out to be rebuilt.
Take care everyone!

Your Bronco looks great.
That's a Cabin? There were no cabins like that when I left Maine in the early 60's. They looked like little wood boxes made from apple crates. Times have changed.

Been piling on more miles and it’s getting better and better. Simple leaks that I’ve had for years are all fixed!! 1st time my garage has been puddle free!
My Wife and I went to see my “Bronco Life Coach” last weekend!! Lol. (Cracks me up cause he hates public anything). Seriously though, his truck is Badass and drives great. I got some upgrade $$$ ideas...I’m screwed!!
Anyway, I replaced my Header gaskets and wow!! So nice nice to not hear ticking! Soft Top is on and ready for the Fall Cruise!

Remember that ''Puddle Free" statement I made last fall.....yup..didn't last long!

I hope everyone's well!!

Seems like my Water pump is leaking and I dove into it last night. Pulled the Radiator, Water pump, Alternator, pullys etc....kinda weird but I broke a bolt on the waterpump but an easy one, not one that goes in the block, luckily!! Now that I'm to this point, there's a lot of sludgy oil and coolant around the bottom of the timing cover so I think I'm gonna dive in further and replace that too.
Couple questions....my radiator seems to work well but its seen better days, if I replace it, what would be a good replacement? My motor is a 351w with a C4. I'm current using an external tranny cooler with a fan, but my current radiator has the cooler(just not using it). The truck runs cool...at least it did great after I got it back on the road last fall. It always ran hot prior years but I flushed and changed the thermostat in the fall and it seemed to help a lot.
Also, sorry if this is a loaded question, but what vender has the best fitting Timing cover, Waterpump, Timing chain set(I'll determine if I need this today), Gaskets, Radiator and Complete Bolts set?
Thanks!
Mike

I'm a long time lurker on CB and I must say your truck looks great. The Blue really sets the truck off and complements the black more than the yellow did ( no offense to tasker!) I don't recognize your Bronco Life Coach's rig or handle (perhaps I haven't been paying enough attention). Is there a build thread on it too? Keep up the good work and enjoy the family time in the bronco. I look foward to the same when mine is back on the road!

Thanks James! Much appreciated!

So I'm down to the Timing Chain. went fairly easy. I ended up making a Harmonic Balance Puller, worked Minty!! The chain had a lot more slack than I would've thought so that'll get swapped out. I think I'll pull the Power Steering box out and send it to Red Top....snowballs rollin!

Ugh - that didn’t last long. I just did this on my 351 a couple months ago and got the timing cover and water pump from Toms, everything fit well. My old cover seemed to have cracks that were weeping oil...things give out when they get old...said the kid turning 50 this month.

Merry Christmas to all!!!
Well, I finally found a painter who I really like and actually has a conscious. My last guy ended up being a total Shitbird and didn’t stand behind his work. I paid him without reservation and much more than anticipated but in the end, he’s outta my life and outta business. Funny, being a business owner myself I don’t know why it’s so hard to just do your job...no more, no less. Anyway....if y’all remember I had some bubbles come out on the vertical seams on both quarter panels 3 weeks after I got my truck back from the Shitbird. I lived with it for a year and got it fixed about a month ago. Glad I didn’t wait much longer because rust was finding its way fast!! It took a bit of work to match the paint but the new guy went deep and got it done! Really happy with him and the work and detail he put into making it look seamless!
Here’s the pics
