Rear Driveshaft - Does this look right?

I was looking at the rear driveshaft and noticed that there seemed to be a lot of space between the driveshaft and the rear axle input shaft(if that's what it's called). I recently put on new WH stock leaf springs.

The total length of the rear driveshaft is 32" and the space between the two parts is 3.5". See pics. I think those dimensions are correct. I wrote it down, but forgot to bring the paper home with me.

How long is that yoke piece? If you subtract the 3.5 from that dimension and subtract another 1 inch, you should get a good idea of how much spine you have engaged. But you really need to jack the frame up until the tires come off of the ground then take the measurement, because the shaft is most extended when the suspension is at full droop.

I believe the center pin on bronco springs are centered so it shouldnt be that. you should be ok but a good test is to loosen that cap on the slip yoke all the way. Then jack up the rear so the axle is in full drop see if the splines are still inside the yoke. you may need a longer one before going offroad to prevent damage to the dust cap.
