Filling transmission with gear oil

The NP435 is easy to just remove the shifter and fill through the opening..

This is how I do it on a 4 speed Top-Loader......;D :cool:

Put hole in the floor behind the transfer case and it is easy to lube the CV as well.
Hardware stores sell a little chrome snap in cover for the hole.

well now I feel stupid. I cut a hole in my dodge, the same way...not thinking that I could fill it's 435 through the top%)
example #894 that shows how idiocy and genius are often found together:p

so If I didnt want to cut a hole since I have glued carpets could I reach from the bottom and then just pump the oil in till it over flows??

That's how you do it without the access hole...
