Rocky with the bumper on do you have enough room to reach the neutral lever or are you going to modify the lever?

Its a Warn 8000. Control panel is under hood. Had to shorten the neutral lever for the install. Right now cant get to it. Am going to put a body lift so I can get to the lever. Been looking for a reason for another couple inches of lift anyway. Has remote, is in cab right now.

Nice job. I did the same thing using a mount welded to the crossmember instead of a plate, or tray, mounted to the frame rails like you did.
I like your "tray" type mount better. More protection for the winch I'd think.
I haven't mounted the fairlead to the bumper yet, but am going to recess it into the front of my Hanson and use the winch platform for lights.

The only thing that would have made that better would have been a plastic hawse fairlead and a rope 'cable' which would have been even more stealthy. I wouldn't have liked it half as much with any other bumper but the stock one. Nice job!

Got it finished, and it works great. Modified the neutral lever where I just drop a tee handle with a socket welded to it between the grill and the radiator to turn it.

Now just run a remote cable thru the firewall and you're set.

Looks good. You might need to re-spool your cable in reverse so it comes out on top of the drum (better alignment with the rollers). I put mine in a similar place (but not behind a stock bumper) and thats what I did.
From the looks of your pics the alignment would be just right.

I really like it! My only problem is I want more protection than the stock bumper, so I am gonna build my own. I do like hiding it in there, not to mention it makes it harder for somone to swipe.
