Here is a couple of pics of the bronco itself, it is a 74, has no motor or floor

The grill and fenders are inside the truck
Most of the truck is in "pretty" good shape, the back fenders are shot to hell though.

Plans are for a full frame build. I have some parts floating around that I have bought recently. uni-balls for the control arms, 3/8" valves, a switchbox, and bought some 22's for the build about a month ago

boyd coddington 22's with michelin sport z rated tires, got them off craigslist

This is my parts truck

it's a 2000 ranger with under 60k miles on the motor
I'm using the motor, tranny, wiring and some other small stuff off the truck
It's only a 2.5L but i'm not going for speed, just want something reliable and the deal was too good to pass up

I pulled the motor yesterday, and 80% of the truck is stripped right now.

here is a pic of the rough frame I have drawn up in cad

Truck will be bodydropped over the frame. Hopefully this build doesn't piss off too many of you guys ;D

And a nice surprise sunday morning, the medium sized puddle of tranny fluid from saturday migrated overnight. Good thing I brought a 25lb bag of "special kitty" with me, lol

I have new rotors and bearings at the shop, also got a set of calipers and hubs from the junkyard

for some reason the guy did it at ride height, lol. Apparently didn't understand the bodydropped concept too well. I was also running coy wheels at the time

Not my thing, but a bronco is a bronco... You will get LOTS of good times out of it, and I'm SURE lots of comments.. ;)

Not really my cup of tea, but I will say that it's different. If that's what you want it's really cool that your doing it. At least it puts you apart from the rest of us, who all pretty much do the same mods and go for the same basic look. I will never understand the allure of a lowrider, but to each his own. Good luck!

Thanks for the comments guys. I like all kinds of custom work, but I have always loved the minitrucks. There is just something about seeing a wheel and tire tucked up under the fenders

I noticed the Maine plates as well. There are a few of us in this area. Again, not my cup of tea, but there are a few on here that have lowered their rides. It will be an interesting build to watch. Welcome to the site!

12318569881.jpg

hard to tell from the pics really, but it is 6ft x 12ft

shot of the fuel cell I got from craigslist a while ago

I worked tuesday as well on some stuff. Put new bearings and wheel studs in the hubs, also bolted them onto the spindles

Also put the sending unit from the ranger gas tank onto the fuel cell

Just my opinion but I would sell the stagecoach look a like wagon wheels from boyd cottington for scrap metal and if I saw a lowered bronco I would run it over with the readymix concrete truck I drive at work.Don't take it too personal as my opinion is mine and if that is what you like go for it.;D
