This is my rig. I really like the look. A little pricey, but worth every cent.;D

There's a few of my 77 with the classic locks in my gallery too. I can't seem to be able to upload pics tonight.

No they are not real bead locks, but bead locks are not generally street legal (although usualy not enforced except at inspection time). Most real bead locks leak also, or the good ones that are claimed not to leak are very expensive. They are not very good for a daily driver.

I like the look of the classic locks alot (very tough looking), but most four wheelers know they are fake so sometimes the cool factor gets discounted. I'm still trying to decide what rims I want and am also trying to go aluminum at about $100 a pop.

Love the looks of them! But, if you are going to do any wheeling in rocky areas the aluminum "bead lock" ring is easily damaged. The bolt heads like to catch and twist the ring a bit because only like every 3rd or 4th bolt is actually tapped into the wheel. All the others just have nuts on the back.

Would I buy them again.... yes. But I would definitely consider a junk set of wheels or true bead lockers for going into the rough.

Here are two. The pictures could be better. I really like the way they look.

I know this is an old thread but did the classic locks clear your 77 front knuckles and tie rod ends? Also are they 15x8 or 15x10?

By the way, Really nice Bronco.;D

Ah yes, I had the problem with the wheel weights on the inside of wheel just touching the joint. I ended up adding wheel spacers.

Mine are 10"... and if I were to do it again they would be 8". I was popping beads left and right with 33 X 12.50 BFG Muds KM1. When I went to 35"x12.50 KM2's the bead popping went away.

I have a 76-77 D44 front axle on my 74 and mine are 15x8's with 3-5/16" back spacing. (no spacers)

I have a new set of 16x8s for sale in the classified section.

The 15x10s were really close to weights (ended up doing some minor grinding), with the 15x8 there where no issues. The 16s seem to clear much easier including after market disc calipers.
