That one belongs to a guy up here. Not sure if he is on CB though. I know he has don't alot of work to it since those photos where taken and it's suppose to be pretty neat. The guy he bought it from is also a friend and it seems like he had a good bit of history on it. One of the two should catch this and post up.

very unique. I would think most camper parts would be interchangeable from that era of camper on other vehicles.
Nice ride - great opportunity to have something truly different.

you kidding? they only get about 10 WITHOUT all the extra weight and the sail. i'm guessing about 7. wonder if they added sway bars when they installed the campers?

Notice I said Maybe, ha ha.. I bet you're right though.. ;)

Add a Plow to that thing, and you're OFF to the races.. hee hee..

I know these are pretty rare, but has anyone tried to build one from scratch? Doesn't seem like it would be all that difficult.

that's a pretty early model. it's got an ice box vs a fridge and the sink is manual pump.
i get about 8-9 mpg with mine. mileage isn't a big concern when it's out on the road.
handling isn't that bad. i imagine it would feel like a hard top with a roof rack and big tire. funny if you don't have water in the fresh water holding tank it handles better, as it takes that 80# out of the CG equasion. i've got double shocks and spring upgrades only. it could use a slight bar in the back.

we can account for about 15 of these old campers. they are pretty darn cool. people are amazed how roomy they are when you are inside.that couple extra feet on top of the tail gate make a huge differance.
stop on by the super celebration in tn this spring to see for yourself!

When I put mine on my 78 I weighed it before and after. You have to remove the tailgate on the 78 and the interior panels. I only gained about 200lbs without the water tank full and no Propane. I am also missing the refridgerator. I about craped my self when I pullled the tailgate off.

Yeah, the tailgate on a 78 weighs probably 80 - 100 lbs. I just put a new one on my 78. Love to see a pic of your FW'er with the camper on it.

Thanks Terry for posting. That is pretty cool. Hey gritz, was that made for a full size or just adapted from one that fits an EB? And why do you need to remove the tailgate?

It was on a 96 fourdoor bronco when I bought it in Colorado. I had to change the aluminum skin were it touches on the to radius. I am sure it would not fit an EB. I have saved lots of pictures of different camper broncos over the years if some one needs one. I could email them to you. Big Props to Got- Broncos for posting the pictures Thankyou.
