I guess this is where the transformation from my lurking on this site and asking stupid questions, to my getting my hands dirty and asking stupid questions begins.

Looks like you have a game plan already, so good luck. There is no stupid questions here. You may have a question that has already been asked a 100 times, but ask it anyway. We've all done that and I know I have asked them. This is the best forum to come to for help. Looking forward to seeing progress on it.

Nice. Looks just like the stack of sheet metal I just got over the last 2 weeks.

Do those tailgate posts have the rolled lip/flange where they meet the back edge of the taillight housing by the tailgate? The set I got doesn't.
