This is an awesome sander that I got to try out on my rig. It is soo quiet to use where you could still hold a conversation with someone while using it. It has a vacuum set-up that is also quiet. The autonet sandpaper is washable/reusable, it is actually like a net and you can see through it.
I was using my Dynabrade pneumatic orbital sander before trying the Ceros and what a difference it was!
It is expensive but the ease and convinience of using the Ceros without the air compressor coming on intermittently will payoff the difference. I can work on my rig in the night without too much noise. I use to dredge using the pneumatic DA sander, I see it as fun with the Ceros.

Nice.

And by using the vacum set up and autonet, there is almost No dust at all.

That means that you can use it inside your house, without to much dust to wipe clean.

I have the vacum set up ( the 915) and ceros (5mm orbitol) with autonet. And i like it very much. Its nice to know that i can use it in places where i dont have a compressor, and that the vacum starts and stops when you start and stop the sander.

That thing is pretty damn cool , thanks for making the vid.
I would probably go with one of their standard sanders personally , $500 is a bit steep.

Although , since I don't have a big ol' air compressor AND the kids bedroom is over the garage , a whisper quiet sander might be the ticket come body time. ;D (talking myself into it)

Im thinking my own health and relief of getting rid of most of the dust is more valuable than the cost of this item.
X2, Yes, I see this CEROS as it's cheaper then the hospital bill and it is clean sanding with the vacuum. No need to worry about the dust getting on everything. Big plus is how quiet it operates.

Im also using the 3m pps system, for spraying.

A friend of mine uses this system in the shop where he works. It's been a few years since I last held my spraygun and when I seen him using it I was convinced to use it on my next project. I'm in for a new spraygun anyway.

Hackin Away!
Poter Cable makes one like that. I've got one and I dont use my air DA anymore. Its quiet as hell as well. I think I paid $100 for it and it also has a polishing pad which works great for tight areas when I polish paint.

This thing is worth every penny that I spent on it. I used it on the hardtop and It made work simple. Sanding at night not a problem anymore. No air compressor, no dust and quiet.
