Here is an interesting 66 Bronco. I've seen and heard of a few of the "Factory Pony" interiors in a Bronco, this is the first one I've owned. Look at the rare items on this 66. This is a V8 1966.
*Parchment Pony seats original
*Parchment Door panels and armrests
*Parchment Dash
*Parchement visors
*Center hood support is different where windshield latch bolts to hood
*Later model front floor mat in Parchment with BLACK foot section (never seen one like this before)
*T-Shifter with 66 boot.
Has anyone seen one like this before please comment. I've owned a lot of 66's and all the others had Gray dash and door panels with Silver visors.

Thats pretty cool, never heard of them doing that. The seats look like someone just pulled them out of a mustang, I have blue set of the same ones. what does the back seat look like? if there is one anyways

The duffs brought a pony interior rear seat with them to SC. I took some pictures in hopes to find out more about the rare option. I think I am goign to have that incorporated somehow into my interior in my EB. I think it would be an interesting touch.

It would be interesting to see the VIN tag on this one.

Here is one I took of it.

I'm not so sure someone did not make these.

Could be factory, but I have never heard of it or seen any documentation to support it.

Karl's (tripleb) has pony seats in Karen's U14 as well, but I think we all assumed they were installed by a PO.

I thought the same regarding the seats being from a Mustang, but with all the other Parchment items, and the mat with the Black section, maybe this WAS ordered from the factory this way. Does anyone else have any pics of Parchment dash and visors from a 66? If so, please post.

I am now the owner of that seat. Duff's brought them to SC for L&D's Broncos, which is who I bought it and a silver '66 or '67 seat from (You can see the silver one in the background).

It was in fact a rare option, which is why I snatched it up. ;D

Never heard about the rest of the interior being parchment. Interesting. Does make since so that the rest would match the seats.

So, is there any factory documentation to support the Pony interior for the Bronco? I heard that Ford made this available only in 66 V8 Broncos as a hipo kind of thing like the Mustangs. As we all know you could order or delete most anything in 66. Here's a 66 U13 of mine that's wiper and washer fluid bag delete, with a unique Paint OK marking.

I'm sure there were late 66's that may have gotten T handle shifters and parchment interiors just as in any year that changes were happening parts found there way onto previous year vehicles. I've heard about pony seats as well never seen any actual proof of the option. Figure it was pretty simple to just throw in some mustang seats or maybe the factory was doing a kind of test run to see if the pony seats would help sell broncos. So it may have not even been a option just a trial run. before they just settled for plain parchement.

I dont think parchement door panels and dash are specail I've seen 66's with them as well.

I have seen a few of them. They were late 66's with V8's. I am sure that it was the factory interior for that truck. I looked at that truck before you bought it. It also had a snow plow on it back in the day.

My dad's 66 U13 is a wiper washer bag delete as well. I've never seen the early paint OK mark like that, pretty cool.

That is pretty cool. I had never heard of the pony package on a bronco until now. I'm like ya'll, wonder if any one has any proof of such a package

Pretty sure that still remains with the original owner. It is a gorgeous truck. Since all the Ford '66 records are gone, it would probably one of the few you could actually confirm. Broncojack or Jeff at the Graveyard should be able to confirm on the original owner deal. I think they both know him. Hopefully, it is there again this year. ;D

This is very interesting and cool. Seeing the two other rear seats, makes me think the rear seat that Drew posted is authentic.

I would never put stock in it based on ONLY the front seats since they could just be Mustang seats. However, seeing several matching rears now, it does lend some definite credibility to it as a possible factory option.

However, I have also seen quite a few Broncos with the chromed grilles and that was not a factory option, but something one or more shops did and sold back in the day.

I would want to see some dealer literature, a 1966 interior trim and paint option book, original window sticker, or some other documentation to be certain.

If it is legit, it is certainly cool for a collectible since it rare, but I've never personally been a fan of the actual look of that design in Mustangs and do not think I like it much better in Broncos other than for the uniqueness.
