I got the Bronco for 1000 with no motor or trans. Sent it to the sand blaster last week and had it blasted and epoxy primed. Brought it home and replaced the floor pans the day I got it home. I am like a pit crew when it comes to floor pans and had the passenger done in 45 minutes with a helper and did the driver in 2 hours solo. I will add pics of the floors later today.

I have a 96 Explorer motor and 4r70w 4x4 trans that I sat in the frame with my car lift arm I made. It was my first lift with it other than lifting boat motors and it picked up the motor and trans together with no problem. I need some motor mounts to get it the 5.0 to sit farther down in the frame. I pulled the original Explorer cross member and mount I am going to try to use after I bolt the dana 20 on with my zf adapter I have.

You can see how good the cross member lines up with the original 4 mounting holes on the inside of the frame. I will modify it according to the front drive shaft.

I had a rotten area in front of my passenger rear wheel and on my inner fenders by the fire wall I patched. No grinding has been done, so don't make fun of my welds I was doing on old rusted sheet metal.

If anyone is wondering how to move a tub, just sit it on a 3 wheeler rack and pick the back up and push it. It worked well with me and one friend, I was able to pick it up by my self while he sat the aluminum ramp under it. LOL

Okay that is just awesome. Here I thought I didn't have much in the way of shop equipment, my 3 wheeler in the corner just became more than a extra shelf.

more progress

I built the trans cross member and used the original Explorer trans mount. 2x3 tubing works great when using the Explorer mount. I am going to gusset it and cap the ends of the tubing when I pull it to paint the frame. I am also aware of the cut in the radius arm frame mount that was cut when removing the drop radius mount brackets.

I sat the body on with the motor/trans/t-case mounted and all worked out great. I am working on a mount for the T shift twin shifter with the 4r70w trans and sat it in place to figure out where to cut my hole in the floor before I spray bed line the tub. I have the original Explorer shift cable mounted and plan on adapting it to a Bronco auto column.

Look at how good a Explorer oil pan fits a Bronco dana 44. This is with worn out stock springs that are 2" from hitting the bump stops. I am going to be running a 4.5" lift.

That one pic of your radius mount looks like it needs to be replaced, 6th thread 1st pic. Who do you go thru when replacing floor panels, which vendor?

Looking good, keep us posted on the motor fitment and mods that you are doing. How are the stock explorer exhaust manifolds working, from what I can see in the pics it looks as though they will work out good. Keep ust posted on this.

Bronco Graveyard floor pans, I have used them twice and both times they fit very well. The factory Explorer headers will work, but I am going to install some better flowing headers.

Got the motor painted and reassembled. I will be replacing the headers, so that's why they are not painted.

Bed liner complete

Got the tub sprayed today. 2 gallons of Liner Extreeme did it real well. This stuff sprays great through a dry wall texture gun.

I am very ADHD and don't like to sit still, plus I work 12 hour shifts and am off a lot. The car lift makes things go fast also.
