Picked this 74 up today to start a frame off. This a really solid truck to start with. First thing to do is cut out the sheet metal some welded on top of the floor pans and fix the transmission tunnel where it was butchered up. And strip out the old bed liner to see what we're working with. I will be teaming up with Beaux312 for this build.

This will be another frame off build with a few changes. Should get started in a couple of weeks though. The owner has a lot of nice ideas for this rig. It's going to be designed as a nice daily driver, but still to do some high speed offroading. I'm getting excited to start on this soon, and looking forward to working with Beaux312.

Cool! I was beginning to wonder if you retired from Bronco building! I’m looking forward to watching this one.

Not yet. I am finishing up a paint job on a Ford F150 right now.

The plans right now are a Wildhorses Buckaroo hood, James Duff 5.5 Monster Suspension, Vintage Air A/C, BC Bronco's dash blank, relocate speedometer, possibly a Dakota VHX speedometer, Hard Knox bumpers, rear disc brakes, new wheels and tires, Cobalt Blue with Hot Rod Black accents, soft doors and hard doors with lift off hinges, and other changes and upgrades.

66ALRIDE.....bout time you started back workin on something. I am interested to see how this one turns out. I mean....I know it will turn out good. It will be interesting to see since you will have a new partner working with you .

As usual, I will try to drop by the shop from time to time to check out the progress and lend a hand if possible.

Another thing, I know I met the owner of this rig at the meet and greet at sonic, but is he on here?

BTW......hurry up and get that duff suspension kit here! I want to get a real good look at one in person cause I think that is what I want to go on mine. Not a 5.5" but 3.5". Just want to take a few good looks at all the components.

Looks like a great start already, color w/ black trim looks good as is.
I am coming over that way next week to visit a customer. Maybe I can run into a couple of you for a burger.

I finally got it over to my shop now. Hope to start tearing it down next week. First thing I'm going to do is get the cage and seats out so I can start stripping out the old bedliner. I know I've got to replace the front floor pans but will know more once I get the liner out.

Finally started working on the 74 today. Got the cage and interior out. Also removed the door inserts. The hinge and striker post look good. The PO had put a strip of aluminum down for the door inserts to screw to. Going to replace the front floor pans where someone welded sheet metal on top of the old rusted ones. Also going to fix the butcher job on the trans tunnel from where someone installed the twin stick. Got most of the bed liner out and so far the sheet metal looks to be in good shape. When I pulled the dash off, the only thing holding it on was the 2 windshield bolts. So far no major surprises YET.....;D
