Congrats! Looks like a really nice truck. Also, if you haven't already get yourself some ziplock freezer bags with labels and a sharpie and label all the nuts and bolts from the different areas of the truck! Grill Bolts/Clips, Fender Bolts/Clips, etc. Also, don't throw anything away like I did because once you do you will be wanting to use it again. Ask me how I know.

Good Luck with the project! ;D

Nice rig. I'm just curious as to why you're tearing it down. Does it not run? Bad rust issues? Too many people buy one of these things and have the intentions to make it look like some of the other show rigs only to find themselves with a garage full of parts for years. Been there with my 72 and it can be discouraging.

My 67 needed to be taken apart, as it was in rough shape. Luckily I have the 72 to drive when I want to. I will be following this one for sure. Again, nice rig!

x2... The only thing I might add is the nut and bolt kit Bronco graveyard sells is well worth the money when it comes time for re assembly. Looks like a nice Bronco to restore keep us posted!

Oh the pics dont show the fact that there isnt a single strait pannel on the darn thing and each of the fenders have rusted out holes on the inside. This was an old farm bronco from up here in in MN that was used for snow plowing and has plenty of rusted out spots and major dents.

I cant wait to post the pics of the red shag carpet that is in it and the how the floor boards are just tap screwed into place.

Im a single guy that has always wanted a project, so i figured i better get started on one now before i get married and she says i cant have any toys.

Already have the zip lock baggies out and marked. This is my first project ever and i am being very cautious on what i keep and dont keep. I was looking at that nut and bolt kit from Graveyard tho and was thinking that was better than reusing some old rusted up ones that i have taken out.

I have been going crazy this weekend and have front fenders, doors, bumpers, tailgate, seats and everything else one guy can do out. It was tough to take out that fancy shag carpet cause im sure that was a nice dealer adding option back in the day. I was happy to find out that the rear pan and rar wheel tubs are rust from from the top so hopefully i can salvage them.

Sure is amazing how 45 years of rust and grime and keep a bolt from wanting to let loose

Question....i have a stock 9" rear end. Whats the difference between that and the big bearing 9" rear end and can the big bearing fit with little modification?

Lookin good man! Keep it up.

In regard to the bolt kit from JBG, it is definitely worth the money. The reason for keeping the old stuff organized is more about knowing what goes where when you get to reassembly. ;D

That was the plan....until i got into it and found out that previous owners decided to use whatever they could to replace bolts when they got lost. I found bolts, screws, and all kinds like of things like zip ties so I am not too sure what really is supposed to go where. Thats why im hoping the JBG bolt kit will offer up some guidance as to what goes where.

Well.....im thinking 2.5 - 3 years since i have no experience at doing this at all and will run into a lot of bumps in the road. I gotta find someone that can do a lot of welding for me since a so much metal has to be replaced. I will be using this board for a lot of help since there are so many people on here that are very knowledgeable and helpful with newbies.

Then it comes down to money!! ;D

Okay, now it makes more sense. The floor pans look much like what I faced on my 67. Surprisingly, the bed area looks better than mine though. Good luck with this thing.

Are you still active Chief Master Sergeant? My dad is retired but was the Command Chief Master Sergeant out at Vandenberg AFB about 10 years ago.
