Barn find, imaginary or real?

You've heard of them, but you've heard of Unicorns also

well I didn't have my camera when it was actually in the barn so you'll have to believe me,I found it in a barn,

The Story day one:

My wife and I went to look at a family vehicle listed on craigslist, the house we drove to had a long driveway with a barn at the end just before the turn to the house, and sticking out of the open barn door was the unmistakable grill from an early Bronco, it took less than a minute to dismiss the truck we went to see but before we left I just had to ask about the Bronco, certainly it couldn't be for sale, could it?

I don't know if it was the alignment of the stars or the dive in the stock market the previous two weeks but the owner was willing to talk

Just a month before I had sold my 67 Bronco and I immediately spotted a treasure, I didn't mess around I made a serious offer, yes it had a large wasps nest stuck to the dash, yes it had Halloween looking cob webs hung throughout, of course the tires were flat, but did I care about all that?

HELL NO

The owner went to talk to his wife, I went to talk to mine, mine asked if I was ready to go, I told her I just made an offer, her exact reply was "I am going to punch you in your head"

that was it, the attitude for the next three hours was set,
the owner came out, turned down my offer, told me it was a family heirloom,

I offered more, more than I even had on me, they bit the bullet and relented,
without even hearing it run I hooked up the tow bar and took it home,

that was about six weeks ago, my wife quickly got over me spending all our cash and now discourages me when I talk about selling or trading,

I've since sunk a few pay checks into it and some late hours after work, it needs more of both,

the irony is I bought this less than a mile from where I bought my 67 just a few months before, unlike my 67 this one has always been in the same town and is mostly original,

more updates to come
