I got this Bronco back when I was 16, with the sole intention of a 4wheeling only vehicle. It evolved as the trails I started to ride. First I was riding nothing but power line trails by the house. Started hitting some of the private parks around my area. Ten years later and I'm still messing with this thing. Its been sitting for about a year and a half now. Figured a build thread may further motivate me. I've been working on it lately hoping for a trip in October to Harlan, KY with some buddies. It's on 3.5" front coils, 4link rear with fox 2.0 air shocks in the rear, and a 435/205 with a 302. I'll go to pics cause I know ya'll would rather see them.

This is when I first got it. Sorry for it being sideways and big.%)

I rode it for a few years like this.

Got a bender and started making some stuff. It was some rowdy tube work.

A little rust in the frame and my rear leaf mounts ripping off, made me chop the frame and do some work.

This was the first trip out some extra wheel base. Sitting at 106"

One of my favorite pics. I wheeled it like this a few years. My body mounts started to pull through the old rusted out tub, decided it was time for a swap.

Doner, a wrecked 73 that is one of my favorite colors, Durango tan.;D

As it sits now. Working on tubing the front, then the back half, and the everything else. It may be ugly but hopefully it will come around.

Starting to come together, hopefully it'll be ready, looking forward to some riding.

Looks great!! love the evolution of your bronco, I think that's the best thing about these trucks, there is nothing it can't be... I've even seen some (shudders) low riders...

Looks like you'll be back in business again soon.

What's your plans for rust prevention this time? figure you might be doing something so you won't have to come back to it again for rusting out frame and such...

Hopefully most of the frame and tub gone, it'll be okay for a while. The tub, what was left from the doner was pretty solid. Guess if in a few years if I have problems again, a pile of tube and parts will be my new ride.

Been working on this here and there, when I can. Still have a ways to go.

We got some snow last week, most we've had in awhile.

Picked up some new diggers, new wheels on the way for them. 38" TSL compared to 37" Trep

Worked on this a little this weekend. Knocked a few things out, cage is close to done still have to add a few braces. Decided to start on the front, going to add some tube to hang the skins on. I still haven't decided if I'm going to narrow the front or leave it full size, I played around with an old junk grill this afternoon.

Narrow the grill or no? I may start cutting up my good grill tom. going to try and cut the FORD out to section in.

Cut my 'good grill' down for this thing today. I ended up taking 13.5" out. Pretty sure the hood is going to be a pain, may try it sometime during the week. Pretty happy with the grill, but after looking at it wish I'd just sectioned the marker lights out.

Took 14 out of mine, I wanted to keep the lights for the Bronco look.

Take good pics of narrowing your hood. I haven't done mine yet, but would be interested to see how you do yours. Keep in mind that you need to cut the nose off before you narrow it or you will have a section that is too narrow... The hood gets shorter too.

I'll take some pics, but it may not turn out good. I have two hoods, but hopefully it only takes one try.

Started on the tube work for the front last weekend but didn't get any pics. Just need to add a few more mounting tabs and it'll be done.Got my new wheels in today. Got one tire mounted on the wheel this evening, just 4 more to go. Hope my axles don't hate this tire/wheel combo, 135lbs a piece. Kind of surprising that the 37s are bigger than my 38s.

Well after coming up with every excuse I could think of, not to work on this, I've got the hood pretty much done. started finish welding on the cage before the rain caught me today. Still have to do some sort of dash, finish welding, and then do some rewiring. Was planning on 3linking the front, but I'm ready to go riding so we'll see what happens.%)
