I saw a 66 Bronco yesterday and noticed its eyebrow grill. I have to say with all of the talk of it i was disappointed and was expecting it to wink at me or something. I guess i just dont get it and have never been a numbers matching, all original type of car guy.

I think an eyebrow grille is very cool IF it's painted correctly. And the only one I've seen painted correctly is the Peroni's red roadster.

Here you go.

I even copied it on my 66 non-eyebrow grille!

It's a very subtle difference!

Ask a Jeep owner about an eyebrow grill, and all you get this:

On a side note, I seen a van with a mustache the other day. Stupidest thing I've seen since the reindeer window antlers around Christmas.

Aren't we all so glad Bronco's have class.

The paint line in the red and blue one follow the top 'bubble' line of the grill.
In the top picture the portion of the red grill you can see, the paint line is above the 'bubble' line of the grill.

So this is the first I've seen or heard of an eyebrow grill, but it looks exactly like the grill on my 69. All original paint. Factory yellow with white grill and white headlight surrounds. Is this desirable? What's the difference? Just the paint?

The 2 pics I posted ARE painted the same. The red is a real eyebrow grille and the blue is not. In addition to the paint line following the eyebrow embossings, both top and bottom, the first row of vertical fins are painted body color, again both top and bottom. Subtle, yes, but it narrows the look of the grille (by almost 2 inches), and I like it. Some may not.

Nyhammer, here is a good pic of the eyebrows. Compare it to your 69.

The biggest deal is they were only on the earliest 66' Broncos, making them very rare, don't know an exact count but it is rare and therefore desireable by some. I'd be willing to bet it would command a higher price than a standard grille??;D;D

rj, you might want to rethink that trade deal!!!;D;D;D

I bought one not too long ago for my 77 build. I hope it fits up well with after market fenders.
