The body is finally off the frame.... Well Shit, it only took me 2yrs.... Got my body cart finished this morning, and then used a form of body support that seemed very simple and very cheap... And it was. Also noticed some PO crap on the front shock mounts. Don't really see what his thinking was in welding extra tabs on the lower mounts. Well now its time to get busy on the frame......

Bracing looks pretty good to me. Should keep everything in place. Maybe the shock mounting holes were wallowed out from worn bushings and the tabs are a fix. When you pull the shocks see if the holes are ovaled.

Those legs on the cart don't look very sturdy. I would add a brace to them. It looks like if you were to roll the cart and catch a crack in cement or a stone the leg would collapse.

I'll take one of those Coke machines for my garage......

Looking good. Let the fun begin.

I was thinking the same thing.;D

Keep on plugging away. Amazing how long it takes to get all the little jobs done.

I used an extra frame I had for a rolling body jig. Made 4 inch stand-offs at the body mount points and this way acts as an assembly jig. You can see it being used in my photos section here. Hopefully get it back in the shop this winter. Good luck and keep posting pictures. I have an old coke machine too...just need to restore it as well!!

Each leg has (5) 4" deck screws in it. Plus, they are secured by the long rail and by the cross members. An extra support would not hurt, but I am also not going to be rolling it around much. It will stay there till time to put it on my rotisserie.

Here is the cool thing about the bracing. It cost me about $20. I put the bracing on in about 15mins. I can take it off in about 5mins. You don't have to know how to weld, you don't have to remove any welds later. It is very light weight. And it also allowed me to lift, move, and place my body on my cart all by myself. Very happy with the results.

I love the bracing. Smart, cheap, and seems way better than my welding of cross braces. I also like your cart design. Wish I would have seen this before I did mine, I would have shamelessly stolen your design.

Not my design, came from someone on here. It is funny how each bronco is different. I followed his design and dimensions to the T. As I was lowering the body onto the cart, several of the blocks were not lining up with the body mount positions. I had to remove and adjust 3 or 4 of them slightly, before letting it rest on the cart completely. The body bracing also came from someone on here.

And that post configuration is what I found so intelligent about the cart design. I measured and built and ended up a bit off and my cart was much harder to tweak.

Some really talented folks on this board.

Diagram 1

iPad will only allow me to add one pic at a time, hopefully not sideways as it likes to do sometimes. Is this the one you used?
