It is a new year, and I am here to say that I have an obsession with floor mats. LOL
I didn't really notice until I started to dig through my picture archives and it
seems that I save about every picture of a nice floor mat that I come across.
I will try to post them in here for others to see and reference for their own builds.
If I have pics of somebodys rig that they don't want posted let me know and
I will delete them...
I also have some questions about mats that I hope other knowledgable people
will chime in and help clarify..

Here is one of the most common ones.
Parchment J-Shift, front and rear. Found typically in Sport models from 1973-1977.

Subscribed. Looks like this is going to be an interesting thread. Let me see if I can dig out a picture of my old '69 delivery model with a black mat.

Here is a black ribbed front mat in a 1966.
If anybody has a picture of the tc shifter hole profile for this mat I would love to see it.

I wish simebody made those laser fit inserts / floor mats.

They would keep the carpets from getting muddy and wet and minimize the risk of rust starting on floor boards.

Here is a tan textured mat found in the 1972 Durango Tan Explorer models.
This one has got to be a bear to find if you are looking for one...

If you had carpet, a removeable rubber floor mat would definitely help.
Unfortunately for our little Broncos, the factory rubber floor mats that I am
focusing on in this thread led to the untimely death of a lot of floors.
It seems that the vinyl mat trapped the moisture under it and did not dry
out very good, leading to a lot of rust problems. But they sure are pretty!

do they still make reproductions of these? If not, why don't they? Seems like there is a market for these.

Not currently.
I would think Dennis Carpenter, Scott Drake, or whoever makes the
Mustang ones would, but I haven't heard of anything in the works.

When I first got mine it had the original rubber mat and these BA Ford floor mats. The rubber mat was too fragile to save and I lost the floor mats along the way somewhere.

Bummer that black textured mat wasn't savable, it looks good in the pic.
Those floor mats were aftermarket anyway, so no huge loss. ;D

The black mat under the carpet and rear seat in the 1975 ranger I just bought is in absolutely perfect condition. I could not believe it. The carpet just fell apart once I started pulling on it though.

The mat was in great shape. No rips, nice Bronco script on the trans tunnel, but it held moisture so it had to come out.

Yeah I knew they were aftermarket. They just had that 80's stylish look to me. I'm sure if I hunted around I could find some more. Now that I think about it, I bet my Dad took them out when he had the Bronco in KY.

Not sure, but these may be of your rig too...
If not, another good example of a black textured j-shift mat.

Here is a Parchment T-Shift mat, presumably from a 1967-1972 Sport model.
