Anybody have pictures of where and how you mounted the ecm, fuses, and relays in your early bronco for an efi swap? I'm in the process and looking for ideas. I'm using a Ron Francis wiring harness and it will all end up on the passenger side somewhere.

I put my ECM in the glovebox. I cut a hole in the paper GB so I could run both the diagnostic port and the ECM inside. Cut an addition hole so the ECM would stick out the back of the GB for better fitment.

I built my own harness and used a mid 90 Jeep Cherokee fuse/relay box. Hold 7 relays and a ton of fuses. I mounted it on the inner fender P side near the battery. Using this box I run all EFI related function off relays as well as my electric fan. I have only 2 wires connected to the original Bronco harness/ignition switch. One for the fan relays and one for the EFI relays.

Since Vintage Air install took up most space behind dash and the smaller glove box was limited in space we made a panel with a lid where the passenger air vent would have gone. Relays, expanded fuse panel, and ecm all went here with plenty of room for more. Wires were run up through grommet.
Lid protects everything from dirt and water. Has made it through one summer with no heat issues.

I thought about the glove box but would rather keep it for "gloves" if I can, that under the hood box looks way clean! I'm still kinda leaning towards under the dash because my under the hood isn't that nice yet, one day! Thanks for the ideas, keep em coming!

I put my EEC under the dash, above the heater box. Then I turned my glove-box into a fuse-box and use a Tuffy center console to store the glove-box usuals.

mounted to the underside of a pannel filing in the hole where the drivers side fresh air vent was. Highest spot possible to stay dry and doesn't take up any useable space.

Center firewall behind vent plenum. You may have to space the heater out 1/8", but it can easily be removed with the dash fully assembled. I like to install the relays hanging off the harness (Like the Mustang EEC relay.) it saves loads of room, and it's self supported. As far as fuses, I use two at the battery, or you can install a fuse holder for additional circuits. I'm guessing you don't want to cut your harness up, but you can simplify those quite a bit.

Maybe I will look into the glove box route, because I do have a tuffy center console. I just ordered a new plastic one yesterday because my original paper one is shot.
