Hi,
I'm Trikar, i live in europe.
I was looking for an EB, and found one that fited my need.
I would like your thoughts on the subject.
the vin plate have been relocated on the firewall, i guess the glove box door was not a suitable place in my country. Next to it there is a plate from fomoco in my language with the vin number. In the glove box there is another plate with the engine number.

The vin is
U13FL732457
So, a U13 from 1966
the 457th

But this is where it become interesting. the plate reed this:

U13FL732457
092 J U132 696 C 06
91

the engine number is:

C6PW-6001-CF

I'm sorry but i can't find how to insert pictures that are on my computer.

so...

Trikar

The reason the plate was on the glove box door is because that is only the warranty plate, not for legal identification.
The actual VIN is stamped on the frame in two places, both on the top of the passenger side.

Welcome to CB!

Looks like you have an early Roadster. 696 would mean that it only came with a driver's bucket seat. Has a 91 Export DSO, which is surprising considering how early it is. It was Rangoon Red, and had 4:57 gears. The Tag should have originally been on the kick panel near the emergency brake, rather than the glovebox door for 66 and 67.

You definitely have an unusual find! Would love to see pictures!

Welcome! Remember Ford used the VIN sequence on other vehicles, so it was the 457th FORD built...but yes from what I've learned any Bronco with a 732 is a pretty rare find these days! Congrats and welcome!

Exactly!
it's an Export model!
if i understood correctly, there are only too. and it'a v8.
this bronco was made in august 65, the v8 was introduce in March 66.
the vin indicate a 6 cylinder but the engine number is period correct, but no one will put a period correct engine where i live. Odd...!

The number on the frame is the correct one.
You're right it must be the plate from the kick panel.
i check, the plate in the glove box is probably glue. and there is no hole for the rivet.

28275234538_807af3f08e_b.jpg

for the engine plate, If someone know what it's supposed to be written on the top on the plate, please tell me or... guess :
41246680845_92ec0960d7_b.jpg

engine number
C6PW-6001-CF

C= 1960'S
6= 6th year of the decade
P=Model design. can't find anything. Truck should be "E"
W= engineered component. can't find anything.
60001= Engine base assembly. looks like the second V8 made for this application.
CF= Engineering version. can't find anything

and for the S.O. Number, i don't know what that mean

No rust on the car. No dent, No crash
It's pretty cheap for what it is. around $20000
there's is a soft top with tube frame , i think is period correct also. but no side or rear panel on the soft top
