Finally had enough time at home from traveling to work on some goodies from anniversary/Christmas/tax refund. 4 Polks in the back are kickin'. Now just need some time (and warm weather) to enjoy.

Need some comments on tire swing, is it better to "bite the bullet" and go with bumper combo?

3 speed is correct. Still running the original. One day...but no trouble so far other than the normal replacements (starter, fuel pump, thermostat and housing, etc.) Gets me where I need to go.

Would love some torque one day...

That rig is certainly sharp. I would buy the bumper and tire swing together for it. I was going to put a half cab on mine and put the tire in the bed. I bought a regular bumper and then changed my mind on the half cab. I made my own tire swing instead of buying the whole thing. I figured that was better than putting more money in a new bumper.

There are some other options. If you want to keep the clean lines and stock bumpers, you can buy an inside the tailgate mounted spare tire carrier. They are a little hard to find, but were an option on the Bronco and pop up on Ebay or at the parts stores from time to time. Especially nice if you do not have the holes drilled for the original tire carrier hinges. Just a thought.

Personally, I really like the no visible spare tire look--especially on an uncut.
