Here's some great pictures I took this weekend from our trip. Everyone had a great time and it was great to meet and do some wheel'n. I'm going to send a few of these to Bronco driver with some details to see if we can get them in an upcoming issue. The weather was great Friday followed by heavy rain the rest of the weekend. We will all need to do this again soon!!!

I need to check the calendar to see when spring break is up here. Once I do I'll be planning another trip and everyone will be welcome to come. I think it will be the second weekend in April but I'm not certain yet. I think all I need to do is get another axle in and install the Cage leaf springs. (Which they just called and said I could pick up)

Looks muddy. Was it bottomless high RPM mud or just creep on through mud?
The pics don't do it justice. Neither would describe it. While there was plenty of mud it really did more to make all of the rocks underneith really slick while going up and down steep hills. In many places a rig that is locked up all of the way around can just creep on along. In some spots it is just too slick for that approach though so it requires a lot of RPM's to get enough forward motion to climb over the rocks. A lot of the pics above (espcially in the second post) are of one particular spot where it takes a lot of finesse because it requires a little of both. You need to get enough momentum to clear the first muddy spot and then make a sharp turn to the right. This puts you facing a stump in the uphill direction. At that point you have to get enough momentum to get over the slick rocks but then make another sharp left turn around another big rock. Once past the stump there is plenty of traction. At least there is for anyone that can get to that point.

I'm starting to understand his nick name now ;)

Yea, a lot of people don't understand it. It refers to my other addiction. Front engine, water cooled, turbo'd Porsche's and running them on the track. Here is where my nick name came from...

**Start at chapter 1**
The NSX Files

My "prototype" soft-top was just an easy way to move my tent without having to break everything down. I actually thought about using it that way until Ron's dad mentioned how much it would hurt to roll off of there while sleeping. Back to the drawing board I guess... %)

Count me in for the next trip! Hopefully it won't rain as much.

Dan
