OK, everything is in place for the Tuffy mass buy. The mass buy will start today and run through Friday April 8th. We will need to hit $2700 worth of orders to get the discount pricing. All Tuffy products are available in this mass buy, not just Bronco specific parts. For information on Tuffy's products, visit their website at www.tuffyproducts.com

The most important rule about this mass buy is that we are not allowed to post pricing on this board. All pricing will be handled through e-mail correspondences.

If you would like to participate in the mass buy, I will need the following information from you:

username here on the board
Name
Address
Phone #
Tuffy part # that you'd like to purchase
Quantity of each part you'd like
Color of each part

Please e-mail this information to me at: thegreatjustino@softcom.net with the subject of Tuffy Mass Buy. Once I receive your interest list, I will e-mail you back with a total. This total will include shipping within the lower 48 states. If you are in Canada, Alaska, or Hawaii, you can still participate, but shipping will be adjusted accordingly and it will take a bit longer for me to get you pricing information. Please also note that if you are in Colorado, you will be required to pay sales tax on your purchase since the vendor who is placing the final order and will be shipping everything out is in Colorado.

You will not be officially in on the mass buy until your payment is received. You may pay by personal check, money order, or through paypal. When I e-mail you your total, I will include all contact information for submitting payment. Payments need to be received by April 10th so the order can be placed on April 11th.

If you are interested in ordering extra keys, or a lock for your new product to match an existing lock, I will need the number stamped on your existing key.

Finally, Ben Saunders has offered to deliver some of the products at the BRONCO Safari in Moab if you are going to be there. This would save you a little bit on shipping costs. If this is something you would be interested in, please note it in your e-mail to me.

From initial thread that I posted on this subject HERE I have the following preliminary interest list:

No posted pricing? Sounds kind of shady to me. On top of no posted pricing we have to pay up front and wait until it is over to recieve merchandise. Not really what I had in mind. just my opinion I'll e-mail you anyways.

That's the way most mass buys go - in order to get better pricing you need to have volume. I keep a reasonable amount in stock, however a mass buy will always clean out my stock. By placing the order all at once, I can get a better shipping rate to me and I can pass the savings on to you. By paying up front I am guaranteed to not be stuck with more inventory than I can sell.

Many manufacturer's have a minimum allowed advertising price that all distributors have to agree to in order to sell the product. Tuffy happens to be one, as does ~90% of the rest of the major manufacturers of off-road equipment. The draw of a mass buy is to get the best pricing possible, if we post the prices I can only offer it at the minimum allowed pricing, which most all vendors sell at everyday (a few are advertising below the agreed minimum, but I do not have control of that).

If you question the validity of my business, feel free to go to the distributors section of the Tuffy website and search for HBS Performance and Off-Road, LLC or by my zip code 80020 and you will see that I am there.

if we pay by paypal we send it to your email address correct?

No, you will actually be paying Ben directly. I am doing all of the legwork for him with the price quotes and assigning order numbers. Once the buy is over, I will be e-mailing him the order spreadsheet which he will coordinate with the payments he has received. I will e-mail all interested parties the paypal address to send payment to when I e-mail the price quotes.

Very important: to get this to work as smoothly as possible, please include the five digit order number I give you with your order confirmation so Ben can match everything up with the address that I will have in the order spreadsheet.

I assure you that Ben and HBS does exists and is legit. I was in on one of the past tuffy mass buys. I doon't need anything so I won't be in on this one but I have total confidence in Ben Saunder.

Ben try not to hurt that knee! OK? :)

Ben, most of us know how these work. New folks will learn. Hopefully, they read more than type.

Thank you for all that you've done here.

Thanks, and don't worry, I definitely protect my knee these days. The UPS and FedEX guys call me Robo Ben because I put my knee brace on every time they have a large shipment for me

There's nothing shady about this at all. This will be the 3rd Tuffy mass buy that Ben has hosted for CB and he's always done a great job.

As Ben said the rule about no posted pricing is very common to mass buys where you're buying a mass produced product. The manufacturer has hundreds of vendors and one of the ways they protect them (and their own pricing) is to set minimums on what vendors can charge.

Many of the mass buys we've had on this site are hosted by the company that makes the product, or at least has an exclusive deal with the guys making it. So the pricing is OK to make public because they aren't being held to a minimum by a large national manufacturer. Chuck's gas tanks and Tom's twin sticks are good examples of this.
