First at no fault of anyone at BC I have a problem with my direct bolt in seat brackets. Getting home between 7-8pm after football practice, my buddy's fab shop being 1 hr. away and just lazy I did something this fall I have not done since using Beard seats for the first time in '94. I bought the Red Art (Beard Seat Parent company) bolt in brackets designed specifically for the eb. The past 4 eb/beard seat combos I have used we have always made the brackets and slider mounts. This time I thought bolt in would be the route to save time etc. If you are over 6'3" tall, DO NOT buy the direct bolt in bracket deal. I have to look below the top of the windshield to see properly. Off to the fab shop for some modifications next weekend.
FWIW.

Have you tried flipping the rails over? They'll set about 1" lower if you do. I have some pics I can dig up if needed.

That being said I still ended up returning my Beard brackets and fabbing my own. Partially because they were still too high and partially because the holes didn't line up with the holes in my Bronco. Apparently all Broncos were not created equal from the factory (shocking!) so the Beard brackets don't fit 100% of the time.

i have the beard brackets and seats, you cant really blame beard they are same height as stock seats, maybe a little lower. its not like they raised them. the mount at the rear on mine is about 1in above the floor, so they are pretty low.
id like to try flipping the rails like mentioned above, pics would be great.
prp seats will be the same as beards too, being they are the same exact seats. :)

The angle iron "L" brackets are what you flip over. The 1st pic shows them installed per the instructions. The 2nd pic shows them flipped.

the passenger entry sucks! first they dont tilt unless you loosen the belts if you run a race type belt like 2,4 or 5points.
being that the seat doesnt tilt, the head rest just goes right into the windsheild.
id save the money and just run sliders. or make pssengers go between the seats.
crazy idea, but what if the seat could slide realy far forward, then lay down by pivoting on the rear bolts, then you could step over the seat back which will be on the floor? probably more work than its worth.

Yeah, the highback seats don't pivot forward very far before the headrest hits your windshield or roll bar.

Not to get toofar off subject. I talked to BC Broncos and they mentioned they were attempting to come up with a "deep slider". I think my source is heading somewhere warmer so that may be on hold. Gotta call him monday...

Are those seat brackets in production from PRP?
I haven't seen them listed and will be interested in them when I change out my seats.

Yes. Actually Scott at American Bronco is the bracket designer and he supplies the brackets to PRP. My rig was the test rig for the install. The first set of brackets needed to be redone, but the 2nd set was perfect. I believe that PRP is now selling the seats with the brackets, but you will want to talk to Aaron at PRP to make sure.
