Need some help finding vin number on frame

We have found the vin under the fire wall but can't make out more than 3 or 4 of the 11 digits. We can't find the other vin location. I can locate the 2nd vin on two other frames I have. One is a 70 and the other is a 77 and the numbers are in different locations. Is the 2nd number in a set location that varies by year or is it a random placement?%) We were told the truck was a 74 but we can't tell fore sure without the vin.

I thought they were all on the top of the frame on the passenger side just in front of the firewall.

should be either where g money says or over the rear axle on top of the frame.

right in front of the #3 body mount on the passenger side frame rail.
